Shalom Yoseph, This is Rolf Danielson writing. I first of all want to thank you from my heart very much for your help. You have helped my daughter and I am very grateful for that. I thank you for your teaching too in this video and for our time together some years ago in your kehilah on a Yom Kippur. My question to you now is: do you think that the gospel is Haggadah and not Halacha? And another question is: do you think that some of the words of Jesus are equally hard like the curse of the law?

Thank you for your ministry and teaching. I am excited about this new series. My question is: When can I TRUST the sages and commentators? For any parashat, the sages shed so much light on the text. But other times I struggle to know what to make of them. Some renowned sages are a mixture of amazing insight, and _________ (The opposite of amzaing insight; to avoid disrespect I will leave it blank). For example, Rava tells us amazing truths, but he also tells us, "One who seeks to see [demons] should take the afterbirth of a firstborn female black cat, born to a firstborn female black cat, burn it in the fire, grind it and place it in his eyes, and he will see them." Other times great sages contradict each other. For example: The Gemara says Calev is the same as Mered (1 Chronicles 4:17ff) and he had three children with Bat Paro -- who would have been 90-120 years old at the time they wed. And Caleb also married Miriam according to other sages. Was this before or after having three children with Bat Paro? Miriam would have been 83 years old when Caleb was around 40 . . . More concerning is when sages contradict the plain text of the Torah. For example, regarding Judah and Tamar in Geneis 38:26: "And he did not know her again." But Shmuel the Elder, in the name of Rav Shmuel bar Ami says Judah kept on "knowing" Tamar. Finally, some of the things taught are simply NOT credible. A few examples from two weeks ago: * Gabriel kills two of Bat Paro's attendants because they try and dissaude her from saving Moshe ? * Bat Paro entered heaven alive ? * Moshe's staff - made of sapphire and engraved with the initials of the 10 plagues - belonged to Adam, and eventually was used by David to slay Goliath ? I can understand Bat Paro's magic arm is a metaphor, but sometimes I just don't know what to make of their words. Contradicting each other, contradicting the text of Torah, and passing off fanciful fairy tales as truth -- these are serious concerns! So, when can I TRUST the sages and commentators? Is there a rule of thumb, or guidelines you can suggest? Thank you!

This may be a separate question, but is a return to keeping Shabbat and New Moons part of the restoration of all things from spoken of in Acts 3:19-21? ''.....we have to have the same ingredients that the early brothers and sisters and apostles and disciples of Yeshua the messiah did in the first century..'' That is a profound truth. We (from the nations) need to understand the calling and covenants of Israel and the Jewish people, the distinctiveness of that calling, how Messianic believers themselves bring Yeshua to their people, and our own place in the one new man paradigm that Paul talked about. We have seen what happens when apparent Christians try to ''Christianize'' the Jews. It was disastrous for the Jewish people. David Stern said it so well when he said, on the difference between Messianic Jews and Gentile Christians: ''The passages which say that in the Messiah "there is neither Jew nor Gentile" (Ga 3:28&N, Co 3:11) refer to equality of status in the Body of the Messiah and not to the obliteration of all distinctions.'' (From David H Stern's New Testament Commentary.) I appreciate Rabbi Joseph's wisdom and compassion in his teachings, his heart for his people and community worldwide, and also that his sense of humor always makes me smile. Shalom! from Nelson, B.C. Rabbi, Can you please explain the 6-pointed star (aka, "As Above, So Below"; 666; et al) that some mistakenly refer to as the "Star of David" when it is actually the "Star of Remphan? I've heard the excuse calling it the Shield of David, but that star is certainly not of David, but more akin to Solomon his doings. Nor is that star of our Father in Heaven, nor His Son, Jesus Christ. Lastly, I find no scriptural reference to a "Star of David", but I do reference to the "Star of Remphan" and image search results & historical writings do indicate that the star is, actually, of Remphan as it is noted in Acts 7:43 KJV--- "Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon." If Remphan is evil, as moloch is evil, why do any peoples display such a symbol of evil, let alone place it on a flag? Thank you, Rabbi ♥ God Bless you!

What Think Ye of Christ? All the Jews believed In Christ and looked for Him to come (Luke 2:15; John 1:25-41; 4:25-29; 7:26-27, 31, 41-42; 10:24; 12:34), but the question among them was whether Jesus was the Christ. Many believed He was, while others say, “Nay!” It was for this reason that Jesus asked the Pharisees their opinion of Christ, and whose Son (after the flesh) is He. And when they said, “David’s son,” it was here that Jesus astonished them by proving that Christ was both David’s Lord and Son. And if the Spirit said that the Christ was both Son and Lord, why should they reject Him. That shut their mouths from that time forth. They saw only one side of the office of Christ. Thus it is today, many see only the one side of the office of Christ and are fighting like one “mad” since Christ is being revealed as both Father and Son, crying “Anti-Christ,” when in fact their own attitude is opposing the exaltation of Christ Jesus is more the spirit of anti-Christ than those they are accusing. Only through the acknowledgment first that Jesus Christ is the Son of God will any man be able to get the revelation that He is God himself. No man that denies his Sonship will ever call Him God. The Jews deny His Sonship. Do they call him God? No! But we acknowledge His Sonship by the manifestation of His life in us and now through the Spirit’s revelation behold in Him the Mighty God of Jacob, the Everlasting Father, the coming Prince of Peace. Acts 2:36-38; 4:10-12; 20:28; Ephesians 4:5; Colossians 3:17 KJV

IMO bc I don't remember if it is written in the cleric version of the scribes but this a Christian Muslim is most favored among Islam. And Islam is not going to be able to make the sectarian or a religion of the words with such a favor. IMO. Bc the Law is a religion? Then why do their adversaries say that they don't even follow the Law but speak of their religion that they are confounded bc they know what is written. Why should they be wrong. Wrong? The Law is not wrong.

You are talking about two different "religions" that came out of the life of "the man, Messiah Yeshua": 1. the religion of Yeshua, his talmidim, his brother and first successor Jacob (James) and "muriadees" of his Jewish followers who were "all zealous for the Law" (of Moses) was based on TNK; 2. the religion of today's so-called "Messianic Jews" - or more properly "Messianic Jewish Christians" (MJC) which is primarily the new religion of Graeco-Roman (GR) Christianity with some "Jewish" overlays. The features of GR doctrine are NOT founded on the TNK or the words of Yeshua and his talmidim. They express the ancient pagan religion as the "blood gospel of a dying and resurrected "god-man". The Law that Yeshua followed called human sacrifice a gross "sin"; stated, as he did, that YHWH was the "only genuine God" and was "my Father AND your Father; MY God AND YOUR God" (John 17:3; 20:17) and to "worship God alone." etc... I read from credible sources that the only authentic followers of the historical Rabbi Yeshua came to nothing in 135 ce with the 15th and last Paqid being ousted with no successor. Only splinter groups and Romanized Christianity remained. Acts chapter 5 predicted Yeshua's movement would come to nothing proving he wasn't the Messiah and this certainly seemed to occur.

@@netivyahisrael He can be the messiah, thats ok because1. Darious was a messiah and so forth its changed its meaning so what you say is confusing to a Jew. 2. Reform jews reject the trinity also but are free to do what they want and interpret so why is the messiah imporant? Issah 53 as them Jacob and feel offended with the replacement theology. Are the Jews no longer the suffering servant after what they have been though. 3. The send temple was problematic so the association with Jesus must be to as a result. The Jews debated of it was a true temple and even it it was it was as holy as it is today as the sacrificed were not accepted (no fire from the sky). What so you say to Yemenite Jews that reject the temples validity. Why did god wait more then a quarter of a century to burn the Herodian Tempe. Remember the 2nd temple was easily defiled during Chanukah. 4.If elija the prophet was born of sin why was a strange fire sent for him. 5. The initial practice of idol worship was you cant talk to god the father without an intermediary that is relatable and we are not worthy as in born of sin. Does the tinity not copy this concept strange to Jews? 6. Do you have more in common with OG Jewish unitarians or Roman catholic due to the trinity and its debate in Council of Nicea. Are you not afraid to put your faith in a roman debate? You can see why it would be scary to put faith in that? 7. What text is reliable?

@@netivyahisrael I hope these other issues are addressed as well. All I get is with any issue is "well Jesus is god" or end the conversation. The best answer i have so far is the Yemininite Torah is corrupted , but that is what Islam states. Also Islam witnesses 0 Jesues resurrections a handful? sini revelation millions. The Gambit of the Jews is millions were witnesses for Sini and that is the poor as no other religion emulates this. But the Jews could have lied about their past as other nations seem to know not of this god like Africa China and India. Some never even heard of this. Please help. I feel the issue is brushed off . Give me something please.
