This run truly was insane. Originally tried to pivot off the winning Mon but the Gengar had huge power. Gets to the E4 and legit only used 1 heal. Only needed 1 heal is absolutely insane. Well done lol

I’m on run 101. Until this run, I’d never gotten past Brock. Now I’m in Silph Co, heading up to beat Giovanni. I have a Wailord with an incredible stat distribution: barely any attack, lots of bulk, high special attack, though the speed stat has me worried for the E4. It also learned Flamethrower, crunch, shockwave and Twister. There’s not a single Pokémon in the game I cannot hit for at least neutral damage.

The run ended at Agatha. Disaster. Pain. I was out of heals (absolute garbage item luck all game) She sends out a Flareon, one of the bulkier things I couldn’t easily kill because of my lack of a water move. Flareon then starts hit me with Present, and manages to heal me to nearly full HP. The dream is alive. On its last round of being alive, Flareon uses Metronome. It rolls Explosion. I’m back to half HP. Out comes a Slowbro. All game I’ve been happy to see them, because of their drought ability. This time, however, it outspeeds, and sets up amnesia. I fish for flinches, SpeDef drops and burns, thanks to Agatha healing, I get brought down. The whale is over.
