He’s a beautiful child. I wonder if you have ever been tested yourself as I saw a video of a woman who was diagnosed as an adult after giving birth to her second Down syndrome baby. Like you she looked normal and beautiful.

I do have a genetic mutation on one of my X chromosomes as well as one of my daughters. It is linked to autism which I have.

You mean fragile x syndrome? Of course not need to answerbif it's private. Though I thought first it was the older child who had mosaic down syndrome, so I kind of wondered then too if you all had it.

@@teijaflink2226 no I do not have fragile X syndrome. A gene on one of my X chromosomes tripled itself (so I have 2 extra genes within my X chromosome, not an extra chromosome itself). Also my 5th child is the one with down syndrome and my 3rd child has the same gene triplication as me. I don't think I've ever shown my oldest on video.

there are 3 types of DS , I just saw a video of a woman who has 3 kids with DS so they tested her and she has Mosaic Downs and she looks and sounds completely normal she had no idea she had it.

My doctor just told me today that our baby might have this. She's being sent to the children's hospital now for brain scans and such. She is only 6 days old but the doctor said because of the way her arms and legs are floppy, she's having feeding issues, and she's not getting enough oxygen in her lungs that it might be a possibility. I did get genetic testing before we did insemination and everything came back normal but she told me that Mosaic down syndrome isn't on that list to be tested.

He is going to be fine, mosaic is way normal than trisomy21 the mosaic brain development look just like normal people.

He is now a year old and his development has been slow. He isn't walking yet which is our main goal right now. He has just begun therapy.

I think my four year old has this. I had no idea. He has sounded weird breathing since birth. It’s like an apnea. Like u said it’s upper. I’m testing soon. Mosaics look like every other child of u don’t know u don’t know

All they said to me is that they tested 20 cells and from the 20 they tested 6 of them had an extra 21st chromosome. I can't recall them giving me a percentage 🤷

Thanks for sharing this video! I am 21 weeks pregnant and I found out today that my unborn baby boy has a absent nasal bone. My only concern is how this will affect his general health and be an independent child.

Your welcome 😁. Every child with down syndrome is different. Some have big health and mental issues some have mild. My son has had mild issues. When I find out the reason for his wheezing I will post that (waiting for them to call on the reveral)

You have a right to feel that way and can do as you wish with your children. This is MY child and i'm advocating for my children. He was a baby and I'm spreading awareness on down syndrome. Children are constantly put on the internet day in and day out. My children are not in every video I post. Mother's all over KZbin, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms post pics and videos of their children and they're not even doing it to spread awareness for anything. I think parents should stop being told how to parent by others 🤷
