You have always been beautiful but since this transition you’ve made not only in what you wear/outward appearance but just how you carry yourself and know God deeper… you literally GLOW differently. You radiate Jesus and no serum or filler or clothing could ever replicate that!

Hi Milena, I’m Sophia and I’m from Chile (sorry if I have any orthography problems English is my second language), I used to binge watch all of your videos, specially the old ones, I became a Christian because of you, when I was 19 I was trapped in a abusive relationship, I had so many problems at my house (still have) and I found your “Morning routine with Jesus” video, I remember that I was so amazed by it, I had so many misunderstandings about Christianity, and just seeing you and how you managed your life at such a young age made me feel like I was not alone, you became my role model, I was so lost in life and in so much pain thinking that I would never deserved anything even god, I knew the name of god but I didn’t knew HIM and because of that video I was so motivated to start a knew life, and then seeing when you got pregnant I learned so much about how I wanted to be with my own kids. I started coming to church and never stopped since, of course as a new Christian when no one of my family members went to church or anything and having so many money issues etc. I had so much ups and downs, but it just feels like god finds me every time and brings me back to church and to him all the time even when I try to stay away. I’m 23 years old now, I’m pregnant with my rainbow baby, and your changes had amazed me, although I was so sad when you took your old videos back, they were my safe place and I think that it’s so important for people to see how Jesus have changed you over the years, that’s your testimony and I’m so proud of the women that you’ve grown till today it’s such and inspirational thing, even though that my economy, my family, my culture and my opportunities have been and are so different than yours and to be honest, different from the people in your country I always pray that I can become a godly woman despite that. I try to do my best with what I have and I just wanted to tell you thank you, because you without even knowing made a person from another country, with other language, know god and made him the center of his life, he spoked to me through you and showed me that even if I didn’t came from a Christian household, not having a good relationship with my mother, having so many issues and sins over me being so young and naive I could build the life and the family I wanted myself. I wish you all the love and happiness, to you and all of your family! You inspire me so much and I really hope one day I can watch your old videos again, please never quit KZbin, you are the type of woman that young girls like I was need to meet, thank you Mi, your existence and your videos are a blessing to my heart.

The Lord put modesty on my heart last year, after my 30th birthday. I had always struggled with vanity, even from a young age. I always wanted to be the “hottest” one in the room and lived on this. I was proud that my husband had a trophy wife and I wanted everyone’s attention. I’ve started my modesty journey and will never turn back. I have lost much of my vanity but I still struggle with comparison. When we’re out and see women dressing extremely immodest I can’t help but feel insecure or that my husband could be looking at them and I don’t have that “one up”. Does anyone else struggle with this?

OMG yes! First, I would like to commend you for your honesty. I struggle with this too sometimes especially when I compare how I use to dress and the compliments I would get about how pretty my clothes were, etc. And once I started dressing more modestly I feel like the compliments slowed and I even got told that I didn't have to dress this way but I enjoy it because as a married mother of five it brings me so much peace and I know that it's pleasing to God. As for my husband I've been trying to really pay attention when he tells me that I look good in something and wearing more of that versus focusing on what everyone else is wearing or doing.

I grew up in a very conservative Christian environment, so I was “forced” to dress modestly. Later I was in the world and tried everything I wasn’t allowed to. When I got saved I really struggled with modesty and had to learn from the start what it meant and to WANT dressing modestly, not because I have to. I still struggle but I pray that the lord gives me the right understanding of modesty. Thank you for this video, it helps so much to hear from other journeys!🙏🏼 some things you mention I did experience too.

I understand you, raised the same way and “forced” (although I never went out and tried everything I wasn’t allowed 🙈). However I did struggle with modesty after that too! A lot of my conviction comes from now having my own kids (for example wearing just leggings + t shirt in front of my sons, or my girls seeing that it’s ok to wear something that now I don’t think is), it really helped change my mind about how I dress. What I’m doing differently however is teaching my girls why we dress the way we do, because that’s something my parent never did. They simply said that’s how Christian’s dress or how church requires it and that’s that. And when so much focus goes into that (from pastors too) it is totally traumatizing lol.

There’s another tutorial I saw called “How to 18th century pleated skirt” by Katherine Sewing on YT. The style is like an A line skirt. I plan to make that one soon. Very excited bc the way you tie it, it’s adjustable throughout many seasons of life, gaining weight, etc. Extremely customizable and cute!

“No one is really looking at your appearance” (14:56) that’s what got me thinking and praying because it’s not just about covering up for men. It’s about humbling yourself before others and not becoming a distraction to others, male or female. How you dress should point to God whether you’re wearing jeans and a tshirt or a long dress. You should not dress to point to yourself. The way you dress should say “look to our Savior, not to me” how you express that in your dress is only for God to tell you. Ask and you shall receive. Ask Him how He wants you to dress to shine for Him.

Thank you for sharing this truth. I have witnessed your transformation over the past few years and it has been so encouraging, edify, and convicting. The Lord has lately been impressing on my heart the need to have a modest heart and posture before him. He has been stripping away my pride, my selfishness, my vanity, and slowly replacing it with a love for him, and a desire to please him in all things, especially my attitude and my heart. I will be going through my clothing later today, and getting rid of anything that does not please the Lord. I know that I don’t always have to wear dresses or skirts, but I know there needs to be an outward showing of what the Lord has been doing in my heart. I am raising three sons, and the Lord convicted me that I need to be showing them what a truly beautiful and modest woman looks like, and what she acts like. Thanks again for sharing. ❤️

A tip for any other younger/unmarried ladies! - In the beginning of my relationship and in waiting for marriage we've really seeked to guard each other's hearts and modesty has been a HUGE part of that. He has helped me learn so much because I realized if I wouldn't wear something in front of him that would possibly provoke some kind of lustfullness, then why would I wear that in front of anyone else? When you think of it that way it also helps guard other people's hearts & marriages in public simultaneously! :)

Love this!❤ I believe modesty helps us better reflect Christ instead of ourselves. We’re not losing who we are by dressing modestly, we’re discovering who we were always meant to be. We’ve been influenced by the world since childhood. From the shows we’ve watched to the billboard and even the women around us. Society has shaped our view of beauty. It’s up to us to pick up our Bibles and see what true beauty is. And I agree with you completely that it is absolutely freeing. No more living by anyone’s standards or trying to keep up with the trends. We can discover our own unique styles and be true to ourselves. Be encouraged beautiful women of God!

Loved the point you made on how anything you wear could be immodest! I grew up in a church where women and girls were only allowed to wear dresses and skirts on Sundays due to modesty. So many of women and girls would take the opportunity to wear really short skirts or revealing dresses and I’d constantly be bringing up the hypocrisy to my mother. 💖

Before the Lord I used to donate all my clothes and tried to clear up my closet and my motives for it were very dark like "I'm going to get rid of as much as possible so when I am gone no one has to worry about having to put my stuff in boxes" but now all the glory to God because now I want to have beautiful modest clothing in my closet for many beautiful reasons but also so that I can treasure some up for my daughter and so that I can teach her the beauty of glorifying the Lord in the way we dress... Firstly, you are beautiful inside and out and it’s so wonderful to see a video like this from such a lovely person! Secondly, I went through this journey 4 years ago and will completely agree that the vanity diminished with the more modest clothing. That’s not to say I never struggle with my appearance but for me, i always accentuated rear end and legs and once I started wearing loose dresses I didn’t need to. It made me relationships -even the way strangers treated me- feel more genuine. I found women and men treated me better. It was life changing!

I grew up in a conservative Christian house so I was always taught to dress appropriately. I've also been large busted for as long as I can remember. I have always felt very self conscious about it because I knew people were staring. So I never and still don't wear low cut of V neck shirts. I am even very cautious when it comes to swimwear. I don't wear triangle bikini tops I wear more sports bra like swim tops. I don't wear short shorts, skirts, dresses etc. I don't feel comfortable with anyone looking at my body except my husband. My body is no one else's to be goo goo gaa gaaing over. It's definitely respect for not only yourself but your husband. I've also noticed women who love showing it all off are much less respected. When you dress modestly people see you for you and not your body. I'm so glad you are talking about this because it's great for women to hear. 💗

Modest but not frumpy 🥰.The Lord calls His daughters to allow their adornment to be more than just in their outward appearance, but in their heart also. 1 Peter 3:3-4 speaks about God's daughters putting on gold jewellery, fixing their hair and putting on nice clothing. Because I believe that God put a special desire (not a loud or obnoxious one) in His sons and daughters to look beautiful wherever they go. He hasn't asked that that part be neglected or underplayed. Rather, He asks that women's focus not be limited there. Because there is makeup, jewellery, perfume, etc. that goes into dressing as a woman. He wants us to put Him and our relationship with Him first. And that'll give us the right heart's posture. If you are beautiful, be beautiful 🥰. Your focus as an individual shouldn't be others and how they view you. For example, most people probably think that tattoos are not modest. That's why we should remember that man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). Some people might be in such a broken place (in their heart's posture) that even if you're wearing a dress down to your ankles with sleeves down to your fingertips, they might still see you as a piece of meat or less than merely because you're a woman. I don't mean to be harsh, just stating the truth. People that have a spirit of perversion for whatever reason, could be that way. You should never feel as if you have to "conceal" yourself as you said or not wear something that is more your taste because of others. That's not to say that just because we desire to wear something means that we should because it takes the leading of the Lord to come in and transform our hearts and minds to know where and how to present ourselves everywhere we go. Though, I absolutely agree with you that our bodies are for our husband's eyes. But as a woman of God, you should, moreover, want to look good for God and yourself.

Hi Milena! Thanks for sharing! I really appreciate how modesty helps all women and our relationships with each other (between us ladies) because it doesn’t invite you to compare your body with every single outfit, dressing in a modest way helps you to focus on the clothes and not the shape of your body like if we were wearing xrs all the time 😅

Love that about being modest for your children as well and teaching them how we can be beautiful without taking our clothes off And making your body for your husbands eyes only ❤ Agree with not following women on the internet who dress in ways that we don’t want to look like to not compare ourselves to their bodies. God made us all perfect and beautiful in all our shapes and sizes.

I am slowly becoming more modest since I was 17 (23 now) and I am so grateful! It hasn’t been perfect, but I can say I really value feeling comfortable. I realized I felt so uncomfortable wearing short shorts and revealing shirts. I have a small chest and low cut shirts always made me feel like my body was not good enough in the shirt when really the shirt just wasn’t for me! I think we need to love our bodies for what they are and how God made us fearfully & wonderfully! I’m so grateful that wide leg jeans and long skirts/dresses and square necklines are so popular right now! I don’t think it’s a coincidence that there is a “trend” for more modest clothing on the rise!!!! God is calling us!

As someone who is currently in the season of life of seeking to be more modest and dressing, more feminine, wearing more dresses and skirts, I found your video very refreshing from a woman who is younger. I love that you shared that you are still currently wearing pants because they are very loose fitting. That is some thing that I have been working on. I have always personally loved wearing dresses I think that the best thing is to truly just stop following people on social media or surrounding yourself with people who don’t have the same thinking of modesty. My question to you is what do you feel about wearing jewelry? Do you find jewelry to be part of not being as modest or do you find it to be part of your dressing up because there is controversy on whether or not, it says, in the word that we should not be wearing jewelry I’m currently in a season of seeking and giving it to God. Thank you for sharing!

So, how can I change my husband's perspective? I have been trying and wanting to dress more feminine and modestly. However, he likes the short shorts, low v cut tees/ shirts, tight/ shorter skirts & dresses. We have soon to be 3 girls and 2 boys. I'm more of a country mama. I don't mind wearing jeans but would love to feel more beautiful than just frumpy. My husband hates I refuse to wear a bikini now. I did before but I did gain weight which started the stopping of wearing things but the more I read the Bible and the more we go to church the more I want to be more modest and to show our littles what a Godly wife/ Mother presents herself. So, how can I get my husband on board because I know I'm supposed to dress for him as well.

I think you can open up to him and let him know exactly how you feel. He loves you so I predict that he’ll be understanding and hopefully he’ll come to see the beauty in you wearing clothes that are more modest so that all the good things you got going on are for him to appreciate privately.

Hi my lovely. Firstly, really feeling for you in a difficult situation. Not sure if your husband is a believer or not, so apologies if there are any underlying assumptions. As believers we place God before husband in all things - you probably know this already! If you are convicted to wear more modest clothing, then you must follow the Lords guidance in this. A great way to balance this is perhaps wearing your husbands favourites within the home, so he can see your care for his preferences? In 1 Peter 3:1-6 covers pretty much your exact situation, but I will quote just one verse for you! "Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct [...] Do not let your adornment be merely outward' So we have to be chaste/pure to win them over to begin with, and then we submit whereever else we can in *good conscience before the Lord. I hope this helps you dear sister in the Lord! Wife of a trainee minister x❤

Absolutely love this encouragement!! Thank you so much for modeling this well. As a wife, I want my husband to be attracted to me, but I also have to be mindful of what I wear around others. I’ve been going to the gym lately, and it can be discouraging seeing other women wearing revealing outfits. There’s temptation to compare. I’ve committed to wearing oversized t-shirts or hoodies especially covering my butt, so I don’t have to worry about anyone looking. But, sometimes, there’s temptation to show more, especially as you grow in confidence - so I’m working on dying to that part of my flesh. I don’t want to discourage another woman or cause another man to lust if I can help it.

Thank you for this refreshing video and for your boldness in the Lord to share this aspect of how you’ve chosen to live your life. It is beautiful & encouraging to see other followers of Jesus pursuing His righteousness in every day life, especially counter to what culture pushes. Here are a couple verses that help me to stay centered on the Lord and remind me of His worthiness above all else. I pray they bless you and others in Jesus name Romans 12:1 (NKJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your reasonable service. 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV) Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Hi thank you for your inspiring videos and content! I would like to say this in a loving way I feel like nowadays when Christian youtubers grow in their faith and they have come to a better version where they are more confortable as a Christian (less into this , more that, not this anymore, all into that) not saying in a bad way but they tend to delete their old version videos and that’s totally fine their channel their choice their journey! But even if they say that we should not be ashamed…some do .(not everyone of course) because we grow in our own speed we’re in different seasons and we need to have exemple or people who help us to grow in our seasons and all we’re left with is the super version Christian you are which took them years to become and now we feel like ohw but I’m in you’re 2years ago season and your videos back then is what blesses me right now, of course I can be teach with your now and looking forward growing there but what was so bad that needed to be removed? The Lord loves us in every season of our lives, He is deeply engaged towards us when we are messy, learning, when we do things that needs to be pruned and if it was so not okay He would allow us to grow in a second to be great Christian’s but He is not. -He takes time with us and of course when we do wrong things He corrects us and we turn away from it. -He is not watching us failing until we get where He want us to be , He is with us in this journey and He enjoys us being convicted on this now but totally changing then. -He is enjoying us relying on Him to grow and accepts our flaws knowing He is our potter and shaping us throughout the years. -He is proud of your 5years ago woman/man you were as much as the better version you are now. How can we relate in our different seasons if people delete their old versions everytime to show us only the best as if it was wrong to be on a less glorious season . I know this is not their intentions but I wanted to ask because Jesus is here every second of our life and every version of ourselves has a testimony for somebody who go through the same things… Im just opening a conversation … because I love her channel and other christians ones too, I have nothing wrong against I’m growing so much and I love how powerful those videos are, it helps us to be peeled, prune, mold to look like Christ I love that for myself… but sometimes when I struggle , I loved to go back and be encouraged again … Anyway I hope it is not receive in the wrong way…Love and blessings♥️

The way I understand it ,is it says that our head is our husband and if our head is uncovered then that dishonors our head (husband), just as our head is Christ. Marriage mirrors our relationship with the lord. Our hair is our covering and also our glory. 5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. 6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. 7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. 👆🏼 this is saying that if a woman cuts her hair, she’d be better off shaving it. 14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? 15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. Verse 14 is saying that the man should have short hair and a woman should have long hair. It is her Glory!

I was raised in a cult form of pentecostal religion. And once I was delivered from a lot of the bondage and condemnation, I just realized I have never liked dresses. I still enjoy dressing feminine and beautiful! Modesty is a given. We also live on a homestead, so I’m usually in mucks and jeans anyhow lol. Vanity isn’t really an issue with our life now, especially farm life. But as a religious person, vanity was huge. Outfits mattered, name brands, hair styles, shoes, length of hair.. etc. Now I feel so free. I only do extra primping for date nights with the hubs.

When it comes to modesty, I personally reflect back to my husbands preferences. So if your husband thinks it’s fine for you to wear tighter jeans, and you like them too - I’d say go right ahead and wear them! Everyone’s modesty convictions are different. And it can change over time. I used to be the type to only wear skirts, dresses or pants with a long top… but now I think as long as our body is covered we can use our own discretion & personal conviction as to what is modest or not.

I’m so glad you talked about the aspect of the heart, I personally have been more recently drawn to more feminine/mature clothing since having children. It really is so much more comfortable to wear loser clothes with a fluctuating body😅 but my first revelation when considering how scripture is discussing modesty was status. To not be trying to exude status with the way I dress (brands/logos) and that was how I chose to be modest for many years starting as a teen. I personally don’t see the body as an object of shame, when seen. But the purpose for which it is being exposed is what I consider. Child birth completely mosdest, breastfeeding completely modest. However desiring attention for appearance immodest. At least that is where I am right now 🙂
