If he had done that it would have set off a chain reaction that led Dorn and johnson to turn traitor. This is the head canon that justifies all of Big E’s fuck ups. Why didn’t he give morty some power armor that would withstand the noxious fumes of his adoptive father’s mountaintop stronghold? Two possibility comes to my mind : he saw how Konrad in his state managed to single handedly bring a planet to heel AND prosperity WITHOUT the support of his peoples. He was extremely effective and the emperor probably thought that rather than trying to cure his insanity right now he might use him to in the crusade and try to heal him once it is over . Second possibility : he could not heal him and wasn’t sure if he could actually see the future like Sanguinus, but still he was effective so might as well use him .

Firstly, I mean no disrespect to you, Iterator! Thank you for your hard work illuminating the dark streets of Nostramo. If you look at the story in his Primarch book, it's different to all the other accounts, and unfortunately completely changes the Night Haunter's character. I would absolutely recommend checking them out to anyone interested in the lore! That book feels like an unwelcome reboot to a familiar franchise. It's the book that swapped tragic knowledge of an inescapable future (however he tried to change it, and wrong just enough to keep a tormented sting of hope alive) for a choose your own crap adventure starring a moustache twirling villain. Pah. One can find more in the books and novellas Prince of Crows, the Night Lords Trilogy, and of course Lord of the Night, as well as A Lesson in Darkness. Ave Dominus Nox!

There comes a point where a character is beyond an redemption arc, and Konrad sure fits that role. The screaming Gallery alone is a bit beyond that, but besides that the fact that the Night Lords were the most obvious Traitors in the books, most other's had (arguably) good reasons to turn traitor, meanwhile the Night Lords, and Curze himself was very much a "Oh, the NLs turned traitors, makes sense..". Considering the amount of skin couches, stairs and clothing they had before the Heresy even began, I doubt anyone in the Imperium was surprised they turned to become an openly anti-Imperial faction.

That right there is the biggest F^54cking disservice considering he is still being told as not being corrupted at the very end. It made him a mustache twirling villain rather than the actual badass ruthless crazy mofo he was. Again a disservice. Giving credence to Corax owning the night my f*&%7king gods. Then why was their genetic adaptation specifically night vision when corax and the RG would be able to hide in broad daylight, once again, retconning them into uselessness and robbing them of their identity as a legion and what separated them from the rest. Instead they only focused on the tactics employed and nothing else. Relegating them to villains from a Texas Chainsaw Massacre film. Campy and stupid. Let's not forget where they made Curze basically the F(*^kin xenomorph from Alien.
