I love the original Terraria, and I'm stoked for the new one. The old art style will always be something I love, but the new one looks more organic and smooth. The weapon leveling puts a new depth to choosing weapons, and I think I'll like all the new stuff.

really i never found terraria tedious, mainly because potions helped. yes the game can be boring, but thats only when you dont explore it fully. a spelunker potion cuts your time spent mining by thousands

when you buy a game, you shouldn't have to get mods to make it a good experience. the GAME should be good not the communities input. and still, spelunker potions man, they are the best. they aren't even that hard to make or find.

i mean, i know your not saying this, but i still think that mods aren't *the game* the game should be good not the tweaks here and there. but back on track, i never found the mining tedious, i used too, but now i never do. i just follow the caves. the caves make it so much easier to mine im not even kidding. i always see these rookie mistakes of mining around in the dark or mining trying to find a cave when the game already always gives clear hints where these things are. ive never had a problem finding caves because theres so many in the open, and the game always has a slight but very noticeable difference in lighting when near a cave. there is a very clear way of doing these things that i think people just dont pick up on for some reason.

Awkward Aardvark 150+ hours on vabilla, to hardmode from the first release to 1.2 World didnt gen new biomes so restarted with a new character amd got 200+ hours more. 1.3 and expert mode so i made even more new stuff and had 380+ hours. This game is full of content. Mods are great and all but you still need to dip in some time mastering the game and stuff before you should touch it. And 100+ hours cus i like building.

Otherworld seems cool with its new features, but the different art style is just something I can't deal with. It makes it seem like a flash game youd find on miniclip, or newgrounds, and the character sprites seem a bit smoothed out, yet the game world is blocky, just needs to stay consistent. Another thing, pixels age well. What I mean is that they are detailed enough to let you know what it is youre looking at and will stay that way likely for years and years to come. This art style won't look good in years as tech gets better. Thanks for reading my spiel and if you disagree, reply, I'd love to hear other opinions about this.

Alexander Mateo dude when the xbox one x comes out upgrade. they will probably lower the price of the xbox one. save up some cash and buy one. allot of games are backwards compatible. i think we have 560 games or so right now including most of the popular games. such as the cod blackops series, multiple halo games, minecraft. sadly there arent really any xbox 360 indie program games on there right now.

tip if you're still playing terraria: press control to enable auto-build or something, idk the name but it's very useful for mining cause you can just place your cursor in the general direction you wanna go and it'll mine for you.

Though i never beat the moon lord since i only got To play on my tablet I'm looking forward to otherworld. I heard that it was supposed to be released last year by December aparrantly . What I'm trying to say is that they should at least tell us the progress they've done and if they can't do any it would be great to know. Sorry to be the bearer of bad/potentially horrible news, but I found out[via Official Terraria Wiki and/or (a) link(s) on said wiki] that the work on Terraria Otherworld has been (possibly temporarily) canceled, due to complications in making it (it may have said that the complications had upset Red or someone/some people.) I think it said that it is unknown as to whether or not it will be continued. HOWEVER, this is all according to when I read it (which was a long while ago) I just hope everything turns out ok with it. Good luck to Red and everyone else, including those who won't be working on Terraria Otherworld (with all the games you're working on) also, thank you! And I'm very sorry that this is all I have, and that it doesn't sound good.

I understand why people like the levelling system but personally I don't, I liked the idea of searching for materials to upgrade to a better weapon as your previous weapon could only take you so far. I'm not hating, far from it. I love everything else about what we have seen but I especially love the tower defence. They gave it a try in terraria with old ones army and the response was great so I love to see they are pursuing that path
