You're making the assumption conservatives base their ideology on something that's objectively fair. They do not. They may think they are being fair, but they're either oblivious to how unfair and twisted the system has become (not that it was ever that great) or they love it and twist it even further to kepp down the people they hate without having to admit why they hate them.

It's a choice to serve. You get paid. It's a job. Foreign-born soldiers are nothing more to the US than a privately contracted mercenary just like a PMC's staff. No one owes. Being a hero isn't something you can choose. People in the military are average Joes looking for a paycheck; anything more is personal stuff like being a member of a military family (like mine) or just underachieving people looking for valor by proving they can "do something" (BT) which is just a pitiful loss of person who has really only surrendered their life to the government because they think it gives them self-worth. @* This!!!! so true. many people from the pueblo culture and southwest US, are just as much native, (often way more) than they are Spanish or any other European. so when we tell them that they are immigrants, and illegal, we're telling them that because we're the third country to claim their land, they are immigrants! bwahahahha! it is entirely possible for an imaginary historical personage to live a full life in without ever moving, but having the spanish, mexican, and American border move over them in successive wars!
@slavesforging5361
@slavesforging5361 5 жыл бұрын
@WoIf X yeah, the money the US paid Mexico was a pittance and a slap in the face. think of robbing someone's savings accounts, investment accounts and retirement fund, then giving them 100$ back. that's what the US did. we took the land by force, then gave them a pitiful amount of money for it, just so future generations could say that we bought it. and everything looks good on paper.
@slavesforging5361
@slavesforging5361 5 жыл бұрын
@WoIf X my point is that the people who live in that area were the people that resisted the spanish government very effectively. the descendents living in that region are extremely native to this day. so calling them Mexicans and not Native really isn't that accurate. unlike here in The US were natives were wiped out completely, natives in mexico integrated and blended both biologically and culturally. the inhabitants of what is now the American southwest and northern mexico (especially the new mexico and arizona areas) are blended the least and maintained their relative independence and isolation the longest from the rest of Spanish Mexico. There's a reason why they invented the newer term chicano. because they're not quite mexican, not quite native, and not quite American. still have to remember, all those borders crossed them. not vice versa.

Can we talk about how Klepper is a comedian, has a successful and comedic job on the daily show, and yet still decided to move away from the main-stream in order to bring these kinds of stories and messages to the forefront? Don't get me wrong, its long overdue, but he's still a great guy for choosing to talk about issues he feels need to be addressed instead of just telling jokes. Good for you Jordan, keep up the amazing work

This video was made by an American to show the public how backwards Trump's immigration laws are... The idea of shipping a veteran back to thier Homeland is terrible and sad... What's even more sad is that it gives the world a bad impression of us . Tbh this action is as un-american as it gets. The USA is a country of Immigrants and anyone who doubts that doesn't know American history. Trump supporters need a history lesson.

Mexican immigration policy on race "the equilibrium of the national demographics": Foreigners may be barred from the country if their presence upsets "the equilibrium of the national demographics," when foreigners are deemed detrimental to "economic or national interests," when they do not behave like good citizens in their own country, when they have broken Mexican laws, and when "they are not found to be physically or mentally healthy." Wow, I never knew the EB-5 visa was supposed to be applicable to investment in rural and distressed communities, because in practice (I worked at a tax law firm), I had seen it applied almost exclusively to luxury developments, mainly by Asians in repressive regimes trying to move their capital out of their respective countries and gain citizenship as a sweet bonus. Loved that insane ski slope analogy at the end - keep up the great work Klepper!

so if i understood this correctly, one country says that if you commit a crime then serve your time in jail you can be accepted back into society if you are a citizen; someone fights for that country, becomes a citizen though service, commits a crime but is then deported?

Tijuana is a huge city with many people crossing over and it's a tourist and drug hotspot. Of course the wall already exists there. This is the equivalent of looking at one fence post of a home and saying that the rest of the fence is therefore more than enough and evil despite not showing that every other fence post is not even in the ground.
