Salamat..good questions! Actually speaking Tagalog (I can speak it.) will give more open and detailed answers. Please add english subtitles to expand your viewers! Most American, Filipinos actually the whole world have limited knowledge of other countries.

Thanks a lot for watching, man! Truly appreciate your kind words. So you reckon I should put English subtitles for the entirety of the video, even if they're speaking English and not Tagalog?

It's pretty sad when someone said discrimination. 98% of people in America are not discriminatory, but our media knows that is what sells. That blast it all over every news channel and people see that and believe it, when in actuality America is melting pot where we generally don't discriminate. We also have strong, strong laws, unlike many other countries, against pretty much any form of discrimination.

Filipino here, blame it on CNN, that is what's being watched here and we even have a local CNN. I agree with you though. East Asian countries and some middle eastern and eastern european are more racist.

Though you must admit, in most american cities, minorities are treated with violence unlike other countries.

But it's true though; there's a lot of discriminatory actions that exists in America and even in other countries as well. In short, discrimination is everywhere regardless of the country and its status.

Good interviews. However, remember America is not a country. It is a continent. A proper way to refer to the country is United States of America or USA. People from the USA are generally called Americans because in english there is no other nickname that ca be applied properly,. Like in the case of somebody being from New York , the nickname is New Yorker. Since your posts will be viewed all over the world, it would be better to be precise with your terminology. I like and appreciate your video. keep it up 👍👍

I think it makes sense to be flexible as a viewer in this case. While you and many others view this as improper use of America, the video creator and many others do not. There are literally hundreds of millions (billions maybe?) on either side. Similar to your view on America not being a country for many people there is no continent called America. They only know North America and South America as continents. And of course there are also a lot of people who do call that whole land mass America. At least hundreds of millions on either side in this case too. In both cases that is just the way people learned it. I shorten up the United States of America to US. It would be weird to me to say America instead of US. But ironically United States is less distinctive than America would be when used in the context of a country. There is another country with United States in its name (and there were others that had United States in the name). There is no other country with America in the name. There are countless examples of two or many more things that have the same name and many examples of people who refer to things differently throughout the world. Sometimes I get surprised when I hear something I find wrong and after a little research discover is right for that particular person. For someone using America it's normally pretty simple for me to tell if they are talking about the US or the huge land mass running from the most northern point in Canada to the most southern point in Chile. If visiting any part of the world I would use (or at least attempt to) the terminology they are using. In the case of someone in the Philippines like the video creator I'll just assume they are using terminology commonly used there. When I know there are millions of other people doing it the same way I won't try to convince them otherwise if I don't do it the same way. The word demonym is a noun used to describe the inhabitants of a particular area (city, country, etc.) That is the term I would use for American/New Yorker for example instead of nickname. That was a little wordy, but at any rate those are my thoughts.

The chief reason as to why I used "America" instead of "USA" is due to the fact that the YT algorithm picks it up better; and for the sake of the uninitiated, I figured that it would be best to just opt for the latter. Thanks a lot for watching, by the way! Your kind words propel me to constantly improve in bringing about content that people would find valuable and interesting.
