The Lake District is easily one of my favourite places to go fishing. However, you have to expect the worst when fishing in such a wild and remote environment. This was meant to be parter of a wider video but as you can see the weather is horrendous and it made things especially tough!
However, we still managed to go Perch fishing and catch some Lake District Perch. Lake District Perch Fishing is incredibly rewarding and often involves walking long stretches of lake looking for the elusive fish! Don't worry though there's plenty across the Lake District and in the summer months you can find them in abundance. ENJOY folks, tight lines and keep fishing!!

Superb neck of the woods at Thirlmere . Used to be a lot more trees by the side and it looked quite Jurassic for a man made water. You caught a few though and that’s the main thing! Thank you for sharing this fab footage👍👏

Thanks David! A truly classic Lake District day hahaha!! It certainly is a fantastic looking water especially with the dramatic drops etc! As you say unusual for a man made water!

Good morning buddy. Just managing to catch up on watching a couple of videos whilst on my break as had a busy weekend with the family. Absolutely love that lake. In fact I love the Lake District as a whole and I’ve only fish that lake once. I caught a trout so I was well chuffed and didn’t blank. That was in the colder months. I keep meaning to go back and try it for them stripeys as they are my favourite fish to catch.. lovely weather regardless if it’s sunshine or raining. Because you are in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. We are spoilt and we need to keep looking after these places. Great to see you’re happy smiley face doing what you love doing my son !!! Top man and hope all is good with you and yours 👍🏽😁

Hi John!!! Good to hear from you!! Oh wow I bet the trout are stunning in there!! It certainly is a beautiful place and was pretty taken I have to admit - won’t lie the weather didn’t look as bad as it was!! The gusts were out this world! But we are completely spoilt and it’s vital we look after them 100%! Not just for the fish species but for us as bloody humans!! 😂 we need all the water we can get! Thanks again for watching John and awesome comment as always!!

My favorite lake by far, not my most local (just over half an hour from me) but the best fishing if you ask me. It seems to be fishing better at mid day recently, you should have been there a week or two ago, the level was further down than that! Another great video mate, keep it up!

Really that’s interesting and good to hear!! It’s always looked so ominous when I’ve driven past and thought I’d have a throw! Shame the weather was pretty tough going but what a place!! Must give it ago at midday aye! Trout perch and the odd pike order of the day?

@@japanesefishingadventures totally depends on the day, I've had pike out of there on 50mm lures when targeting perch that have snapped 20lb line, other days I've had perch on pike lures🤣 the trout are getting really hard to come by, a lot of people since the start of summer fishing with maggots and taking them home has really harmed the numbers but the pike and perch are very much present (you were fishing a very very good pike spot in this vid) and you're right about the scenery in good weather. Nice and quiet too as far as the lakes goes. I hope to see you there one day!

Well done Harry laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaadddddddddddddddddddd awful conditions so to actually get anything is a bonus. That lake bottom looks a bit barren of plant life it's a wonder anything lives in there, trust you to find the only wet and muddy area during a drought😉 on a lighter note the background music is an improvement as well😉😉😀😀😀😀 tight lines mate, enjoying the vids👏👏👏👏

Lovely video! I have been watching a few fishing videos and most of the time you guys let the fish go? Is this that there are regulations that you can only catch the fish and have to let it go instead of cooking it/taking it home etc?
@japanesefishingadventures
@japanesefishingadventures Жыл бұрын
Thanks pal glad you enjoyed! Depends on the fish and depends on the location, if you’re fishing in freshwater especially in the UK most anglers catch and release the fish, even trout, mainly because the numbers aren’t great and it’s very much a sport hobby rather than hunter gather exercise! Also I don’t think freshwater fish taste great! But that’s subjective! Sea fishing is a different game with a lot of anglers taking a fish here and there depending on the species and the size! It’s all about conservation and us anglers want to enjoy our sport for years to come and putting fish back helps contribute to this! There are regulations in place too especially for sea bass and many freshwater species! But have to admit I catch and release all fish in English waters so the taking laws get lost on me 🤣 !! Hope that helps explain somewhat!
