I've been trying to get my life organized, starting with the kids' playroom. All of these things everywhere makes me a bit anxious, so after having a partial meltdown, I decided to come up with a plan. I enlisted Ryan, and together we built two IKEA bookcases. The entire process was filled with laughter, flirting, arguing and overall good banter. Building IKEA furniture is no joke, it can break up the strongest of couples! LOL

My darling girl, you are much braver then I. You two were so cute putting the shelves together, I would never try that with mine. I love him dearly but after 46 years together I know what we cannot do together and this is one of them. I loved all the snide little innuendos, funny. I have two boys, 3 years apart and when they were little, I figured since they only slept in the bedroom I would make the other one into a playroom. That worked out great, could just close the door. I did that until they were preteens and it was great. One day a week was put toy room in order.

Building ikea furniture can ruin relationships. Maybe if I want to last 46 years I should take your lead and not try this again haha. I can't wait to have a playroom for the kids. Hopefully we will finish the basement within the next few years and I'll be able to put all of their toys down there.

Treasure your children they are a gift from GOD. Find you a good support system to bounce off on. Make clean up time a family time. There are some days you don't have to have it all perfect. Enjoy the kids now, WHEN they get a little bit bigger and they are involve in school activities you are going to be sharing yourself again. I'm on the verge of accepting a new job that will require me to relocate. I fear the structural integrity of the few pieces of Ikea furniture I have, will not be substantial enough to survive the passage. Knowing that I assembled it only adds to my level of insecurity.... o,O?

Nooo, just sell it on Kijiji! I'm sure you built it well enough haha. I've moved with a bunch of IKEA pieces before and I almost always regretted it, but that could say more about my building skills than IKEA products.
