@@K.ABIRAMI676 It is not normal to feel pain after so many years of surgery, usually some causes of pain are adhesions: Scar tissue from surgery can adhere to nearby organs, causing pain or discomfort. This can occur even years later. Incisional hernia: A weakness in the abdominal wall near the incision may cause a hernia, resulting in pain or a lumpy feeling. Residual infection: Although unlikely, a persistent or recurrent infection may be related to the scar. Other causes: Abdominal pain may have other causes, such as inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, gastritis, gallstones, or problems in the urinary system. Our direct recommendation is: Consultation with a physician: If the pain is persistent, severe or unusual, it is crucial to seek medical attention. A physician may perform a physical examination and order tests such as an ultrasound or CT scan to determine the cause of the pain. Take note of the pain: Pay attention to when, where and how the pain occurs. This will help the doctor diagnose the cause. Avoid self-medication: Don't take pain medication without consulting a doctor. Some medications can mask symptoms and make diagnosis difficult and stay active: Regular physical activity can help prevent pain and improve overall health.

When i did mine, i was told not to eat for some days because black sepsis was still lodged in my stomach and intestine, then the hospital nutritionist recommended mashed diets only for another 2 weeks, it took me 3 and a half months to get better and 6 months to fully recover

@whatfoodtoeat
@whatfoodtoeat Жыл бұрын
Yes, usually doctors prefer to avoid those foods because of the fiber load they contain, but they are not harmful as long as you include them little by little in your diet, milk and yogurt can be consumed that are low in fat, also vegetables. You can even wait the first week, it is always good to follow the instructions of your doctor first as he/she takes your process directly, you can consult him/her about the right diet for you.

My doctor told me not to eat or drink for few days after surgery
@whatfoodtoeat
@whatfoodtoeat Жыл бұрын
Hello John, If your doctor has instructed you not to drink fluids or eat for a few days after surgery, it is important to follow his or her instructions to allow your body to recover properly. However, there are some options to keep you hydrated during this period: You can suck on small pieces of ice to keep your mouth moist and prevent dryness. Do not swallow the ice whole, as it can be difficult to digest. You can moisten your mouth with a piece of cotton or gauze moistened with water, but be sure not to swallow anything. If you are hospitalized, you may be given intravenous fluids to keep your body hydrated. After a period of time determined by your doctor, you may be able to start consuming liquid foods such as broths, clear juices or sports drinks to keep your body hydrated. It is important to follow your doctor's instructions and not attempt to hydrate yourself without his/her approval, as there may be complications in your recovery.

@whatfoodtoeat
@whatfoodtoeat 3 ай бұрын
@@darkstylgaming it is important to hydrate adequately with water, clear broths and isotonic drinks. Start with soft, easy-to-digest foods, such as mashed potatoes, white rice and yogurt. As you improve, you can gradually incorporate high-fiber foods, such as fruits and vegetables. Avoid irritating, spicy or fatty foods, and listen to your body's signals, if something causes you concern let your doctor know your situation again, he will be the best guide as you improve 😊

First things first, it's a good idea to contact the surgeon or doctor who performed your operation. They will be able to give you personalized advice based on your specific situation and medical history. Make sure you follow all the instructions you were given after the operation. That may mean taking prescribed medications, following a specific diet and performing recommended activities or exercises. take it easy and rest. You should not overexert yourself or do anything that might strain the abdominal area. It is very important to give the body time to recover. do some gentle deep breathing exercises. This can help prevent complications such as pneumonia. But, of course, it is always a good idea to check with your doctor before attempting any exercise to make sure it is safe for you. Keep an eye on your pain levels and any other symptoms you may have. If the pain gets worse, becomes too intense, or you notice fever, shortness of breath or other worrisome signs, it's best to get immediate medical attention. Remember that recovery is different for everyone, so it is important that you always seek the support of your doctor if these problems persist, we hope you have an excellent recovery!

This is normal and it will get better with time. Here are some tips to help you recover: - Drink plenty of fluids, especially water or electrolyte drinks, to avoid dehydration. - Eat bland foods and avoid spicy, fatty, or canned foods that may upset your stomach. - Rest as much as you can, especially when you feel tired. Do some gentle exercise every day, walking is best. - Do not lift or push anything heavy (more than 7 kilograms), or do intense exercise or contact sports for 6-8 weeks to help your wounds heal. - And never hesitate to ask your doctor if you have any doubts, you will see how soon you will recover!

Is it suitable for me to eat Chapati with spinach and potato curry(saag aloo curry)?
@whatfoodtoeat
@whatfoodtoeat Жыл бұрын
Since Chapati can be a more dense and fibrous food, it may be advisable to avoid it in the first few days after appendix surgery. It is better to opt for softer, easier to digest foods. However, every person and every surgery is different, so it is important to consult with your doctor or nutritionist to get a personalized recommendation on what foods are right for you after the surgery. They will be able to provide you with specific guidelines tailored to your individual medical situation.

@whatfoodtoeat
@whatfoodtoeat Жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing trapped gas and pain after your appendix surgery. It is not uncommon for patients to experience this discomfort after abdominal surgery. Here are some dietary tips that may help relieve trapped gas and discomfort: Drink plenty of water: Drinking enough water can help keep your digestive system moving and prevent constipation, which can contribute to trapped gas. Avoid carbonated drinks: Carbonated drinks can increase gas production, which can worsen your symptoms. Avoid soda, sparkling water, and other fizzy drinks. Eat slowly and chew your food thoroughly: Eating too quickly or not chewing your food thoroughly can cause you to swallow air, which can contribute to gas and bloating. Avoid gas-producing foods: Certain foods are known to produce more gas than others, such as beans, lentils, broccoli, cabbage, onions, and carbonated drinks. Try to avoid or limit these foods in your diet. Consider taking probiotics: Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that can help improve digestion and reduce gas and bloating. You can get probiotics from supplements or from foods like yogurt, kefir, and fermented vegetables. It's important to continue following up with your doctor to make sure that there are no underlying issues causing your symptoms. But if your symptoms persist or worsen, you may need to undergo further tests or treatment to check that everything is okay. we hope you get better soon without any more inconveniences.

Can I do exercise after 6 months of recovery?
@whatfoodtoeat
@whatfoodtoeat 6 ай бұрын
Yes, absolutely! Start slowly and gradually increase the intensity and duration of your workouts as you feel better. Listen to your body and rest when needed. Avoid activities that cause pain or discomfort to the incision. Choose low-impact activities, such as walking, swimming or biking. Be sure to drink plenty of fluids and eat healthy foods to support your recovery. If in doubt, always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise program, especially if you have any concerns about your recovery.

I haven't had surgery yet because when my appendix ruptured my bowels obstructed and I can eat food but food does nothing for me. What is the best protein shake mix?
@whatfoodtoeat
@whatfoodtoeat Жыл бұрын
Hi Katherine! Some protein sources that are commonly used in protein shakes include whey protein, casein protein, soy protein, and pea protein. The optimal mix of protein for your needs may depend on factors such as your individual dietary requirements, any allergies or intolerances, and personal preference. But It is important to consult with a healthcare professional regarding your specific health situation, including any dietary restrictions or recommendations. A healthcare professional can help determine if protein shakes are appropriate for your individual case and provide specific recommendations on the best mix of protein for you. I hope you really get better soon ❤
