1 year ago i buyed a RX 6900XT For ultra 1440p 165hz and High 4k 100hzz rate and VR, with a 13600kf and 32go DDR5, The gpu costed me 500€ ( France ) the whole Pc cost me 1000€( i made a sleeper build in a old pc case ( my first Pc ever in 2007 lol ) the GPU is a BEAST that's INSANE for the price ! i think my next will be a 7900XTX used and maybe a I7 in few years

This feels like cheating. If your budget is over $1k, Nvidia. If it's under $1k, whatever AMD card fits your budget. Go used if you know what you're doing and can stress test the card, if that's your thing. And if somebody says "But I OnLy bUy NvIdiA." I bet you also also wanna put in a brand new shiny intel CPU to pair it huh? I had only Nvidia for only 25 years. Because they were always the best with price/performance/heat/efficiency/drivers at the time of my upgrades. But it's not even close this year. And I think I know why Steam hardware surveys don't show AMD users. We build our own PC's, and I bet everybody opts out of the survey. I bet people who buy prebuilts are more apt to just check the default boxs when installing software as well. Note: This comment was made before my morning coffee. If it feels angry, (although not intended to be), it's because caffeine has not rid me of my existential angst for living post 2020.

Bought my red devil 6950xt two years ago at Christmas for 600$. It’s been an absolute beast of a card and I really don’t think I’ll be upgrading until the card dies or something because I’m not playing the newest games any more (other than helldivers 2 and space marine 2) the only thing I might change is the fact I run a 5700x. It’s only saving grace is my main core is clocked to 5ghz 3 are at 4.9 and the rest are at 4.8 @1.31v (you do not want to know how many months it actually took me to tune that folks. I enjoy over locking but that made me pull my hair out trying to perfectly dial it in

12gb or more of VRAM should be the first thing on your list. If whatever card you're looking at doesn't have it, it's not worth buying. Something like a 6750xt 12gb is a great value for a more mid range system.

I'm playing Space Marine 2 at native 4k Ultra (installed 4k textures for fun) and get 60+ fps on my 7900gre. Haven't checked out many other games. Looking at benchmarks and depending on your budget a 7800xt or 7900xt (at around $620) are better buys at the moment

The reality is that more jobs will come to America, and as such tariffs won't be effecting most products, and the price increase would be negligible when considering the job market will be more competitive meaning companies will offer higher pay and benefits, with all the things that come from third world nations with horrible human rights our purchases won't fund dictatorships and sweatshops, and the US will be able to export more because we produce more, plus our valuable industries won't be at the mercy of other nations. If China invades Taiwan, we'd have to intervene just to make sure we have good access to semi-conductors, which is especially important when you consider the US is arming multiple nations (including one already in a war) and gearing itself up to prepare for a potential large scale conflict.
