Mr Farrer was arrested in November 2023 and as of this moment he is currently being held without bail in a Federal Jail in Los Angeles, awaiting his arraignment in December 2023. Investigators are interviewing his former clients/victims to determine the magnitude of the alleged scheme, if found guilty of the various charges brought against him, including wire fraud, he could face up to 20 years in prison.

I think the business was able to be reasonably profitable. Until AF started dipping into sills to pay fund lifestyle. Probably knew it could go so far but couldn't stop. This is what happens when you pay tens of thousands of dollars for a watch that is really only worth about $500. Rolex and Harley Davidson are both INSANELY overpriced and only worth about 1/20th of the cost. Their entire value is based on hype, smoke and mirrors. Rolex's are NOT a good investment item unless you can flip them quickly... but eventually you will lose money in the long run... as Anthony found out.

I bought a brand new Rolex submariner in 1996 for $1,800 dollars while on holiday in Barbados, it was tax free so I got it for a good price. I'm not particularly wealthy, neither now nor then, but my business had done a good year and I was working 12 to 14 hour days non stop so I decided to treat myself to a nice watch , I wore it quite a lot until about 2019 then I never wore it for a few years and then I sold it in 2022 for $15,000.....that made me a profit of over $13,000 on a watch I bought 26 years earlier...not bad investment...in hindsight I wished I'd bought a few more. The price was affordable in 1996....the hype and price explosion since is quite startling really....I would not buy that watch back now, $15,000 for a watch is not affordable to me now , they have gone up in value beyond normal inflation.
