I dislike the Quinlan Vos x Asajj Ventress thing so I prefer her EU fate where she'd faked her death. Imagine her meeting Luke and Leia many years afterwards and has a proper chance of redemption.

There is some really cool story potential there. I'm mixed on the Dark Disciple story because I like how it wraps up Ventress' story but I prefer the Legends version of Quinlan Vos.

That's fair, I think she is a greater threat to the Republic in Legends. In Canon she loses a few too many times.

Yeah, I think her redemption is a little rushed in Legends, but her overall character is still excellent

We have to thank George's daughter for keeping most of the backstory intact, but also for doing all the retconning of Dathomir. Filoni was wasting the character until Katie Lucas intervened in the show. I imagine Ventress would have been screwed like Dooku and Grievous if Filoni was doing the show alone. But also we have a stupid fanfic shipping of Quinlan and Ventress because of her. Sad. Imagine if they managed to hire John Ostrander to write Vos like they initially wanted for Hunt for Ziro. The show might have shifted to a different path altogether.

Honestly, I like both versions. TCW did a great job expanding her story in both legends and canon. She had virtually the same story in both timelines, just a different ending late in the war. Legends gave her a second chance at redemption while clone wars (dark disciple) gave her a beautifully tragic self-sacrifice.

In all honesty, I prefer both, and I think Disney does too... but that might just be a decision for making money off a very popular character, I like her canon beginning but I also like her legends ending where she lives, eventually that canon book will be retcon like parts of the Ahsoka book, and I really don't mind that at all! there's so much more potential and story you can get out of her 🤍🤍🤍
