I fell when my son was working in Florida at that time he's dog Vash got out so I had to go after him on our way back home I fallen in the driveway I didn't move an inch called a friend of mine to come and take the dog to the house and I called the 911 an ambulance came to take me to the hospital I knew I broke my right ankle I had surgery on my ankle that morning this happened a month after my mom passed away I hope you are okay as for me I'm doing well

I am so glad that you are OK! I am so sorry the flu shot affected you so badly. My ear/nose/throat doctor thinks I may have a condition called vestibular neuritis which I got from having the flu. I have occasional attacks of vertigo, nausea and horrid tinnitis that are often triggered by sounds. When I have one of these episodes, I feel like taking a nosedive into the wastebasket. I have always been careful on stairs, but now I am sure to hang on to the railing! I hope you get to feeling better soon and don't have any more vertigo...be kind to yourself and be careful!

Just watching this video thinking how personable she and Mr Bucky were. I just found her channel in December and was saddened to here of here passing. I think the fact that she and Me Bucky were believers (me too) connected us too. OWIE! I hate to hear that you've had such a nasty fall, but I'm relieved that you're alright! You're right about just rolling with a fall. My husband had a stroke some years ago and he falls very easily. Over the years, he's learned to roll with the fall. I think it has saved him a lot of serious injury. Again, glad that you're okay. And it just roll on down..the body tho automatically reaches for something to(( haha ) stay upright+ steady...well had to buy concealer for a first in my life...been blessed not having broken a thing..The good Lord + I have this down pat..yes I go down but HE keeps me so far from serious problems.... concealer or not..take it easy..you are soooo valuable in my kitchen !!!!Back. I'm with you 100% on no more flu shots, nor pneumonia shots. The last ones (I had both pneumonia and flu shot the same time) that I had gave me a heart attack, or what felt like one and all they gave me for it was an ice pack while I had to sit in my car. I didn't ever really want one the flu shot. They forced them onto me because of the type 2 diabetes. After my nightmare experience, I forbid them giving me any more "vaccines". I was just in my late 30's at the time, I think. I sure wasn't much past forty.

I totally disagree. Flu and pneumonia shots have saved untold number of lives including those in the older population, not to mention how it has contributed to increasing their quality of life. It's one of the contributing factors to male/female longevity steadily increasing decade after decade. My experience with both flu and pneumonia are exactly opposite of yours for decades and I hardily recommend them to anyone who is within the guidelines of age, health, and allergy definitions. Even IF your experience was due to the shots, then for every negative experience there are thousands of positive ones. To eliminate proven medical progress is to return to the age when a 40 year old was a senior, senior citizen. Just because Uncle Charles suffered diarrhea from eating a piece of chocolate cake at lunch is zero reason for recommending chocolate cake be banned from society. It could have been caused by the tacos from the night before. If 20 others had the cake without noticing the urge to serge, then chocolate cake gets a pass. Antidotal evidence has to be viewed cautiously when making medical decisions even if it's the only information we have. That said, the decision for vaccine injections should be yours alone

AWWWW Sweety get better soon. I had the flu about 7 years ago, started a coughing attack that was turning into a vomit attack, stood up and opened the back door and fell backwards dead. I had run out of air. My head hit the side of my desk and my husband had to revive me.

Oh my goodness that sounds really bad, glad you are okay now. The flu really weakens our bodies, it takes some time to get back to normal, the only good thing is most people lose weight during a bad case of the flu. Both times I had the flu I lost a lot of weight and had to get a smaller size clothes and alter some of the clothes I had that could be altered.

Oh honey you sure did yourself a good 'un! Thank the Lord it wasn't worse and that Mr. Bucky took charge and got you to the ER. But you are right about falling. Years ago, as a nurse I took several courses taught by firefighters and in one of them the instructor told us he was going to teach us all how to fall! We laughed, because of course you don't need to be taught?!. But he was right. I've used the technique on occasion and it works. What you do is sort of curl up and go limp and you are much less likely to hurt yourself. Thank you so much for sharing this with us before we caught site of you on your next video. It would have been startling! And that does it, I'm going to make that chow chow you showed us last week it sounds yummy, and if I make it before thanksgiving it should hold up great until the day!

The first and only time I ever got a flu shot that happened to me. The room started spinning I fell down the stairs head first. It was horrible. I was sooooooo sick for three days. Throwing up, diarrhea, I had to hold on to the wall to get from room to room. It was the first time in my life I got that sick and I was in my late 40's. NEVER EVER again did I get that flu shot.

Be extra cautious for awhile, Phyllis. The head injury can result in some vertigo, as well. I was in a car accident several years ago and suffered head trauma. I had problems with vertigo off and on for several months following.

My mom got an autoimmune disorder from the flu shot. The immunologists said they are seeing more and more bad reactions from the flu shot. Be so very careful getting one-!

I wanted to tell you a quick story about my husband David. About 2 months ago he fell coming out of our RV and missed the step and fell on his left hand and broke the wrist straight across. At first we didn't think he would need surgery but after a couple of weeks the doctor said he thought he would be better off having a plate put in so he wouldn't have to worry about his wrist again. So that's what he did and he is almost as good as new. I call his left hand, his bionic hand because now it's super strong. Any hoo. My husband had never been put under and he was so humorous the whole time. He had the nurses laughing. It may have been just a cover up for being nervous, but it got us both through a difficult time.Tell Mr. Bucky to take good care of you. And we will see you on your next video!
