Great lesson. Everyone remember that teachers, preachers, law enforcement, coaches, anyone can be dangerous. A person's profession does not necessarily make them a good person.

Dearest Phillis I see I was the last to comment two years ago and now you are with God. However your wise words were wonderful to listen to again and now I am a bit older I am going to get some pepper spray if it is still available. A lot has changed since you passed. We are all in masks now. How I miss you. It is a joy to watch a recording. ❤️

Good story Mrs. Phyllis. Thank you for sharing. As we get older and look back on the experiences we women sometimes encounter with men, it's eye opening and makes you wonder how we got through as unharmed as we did. Years ago after separating from my husband, I had a local police officer show up at my home at 1am with a knock on my door. I was still a nieve woman at that time. I opened the door and he stood there saying he had just wanted to "stop by and check on me". I thanked him and closed the door. At the time I didn't think anything about it. But today, years later,... after I look back,... I think,.... He was up to no good.

Miss Phyllis, you have been on my heart and in my prayers since I saw your video about your illness. This week I saw the one in which you shared Mr. Bucky's Homegoing. I was at a complete loss for words; I couldn't even pull myself together enough to leave a comment. I am so very sorry for your loss and for all you're going through, dear lady. Yesterday, after my own quiet time with the Lord, I found and watched Mr. Bucky's devotional about Angels. What I loved most was when he closed in prayer. Surely The LORD and His Angels were watching over you that night of the bad encounter. Thank you for sharing your story. Love, Blessings, Healing Hugs and Prayers going out to you and up for you from your Sister in Christ Jesus... Debra

I'm just shaking my head at how men in "power" choose to abuse it. I cannot imagine how vulnerable you must have felt that night. Yes, you were smart in getting yourself out of it unharmed. Most women have had similar experiences and it is so traumatizing. There are definitely some nuggets here to learn from your experience. Thank you. You are scheduled to have surgery today. I am praying for you to have a complete recovery. Love you and Mr. Bucky. Best of health to both of you.

Very good advice. I am so glad you had a happy ending! Nowadays with cell phones, a good idea might be to call a loved one, before being alone with anyone unknown, (if possible in the presence of the person) letting someone know where you are, who you are with and what you plan to do. Speaking as if you are talking directly to your caller even if it is just their answering service. Like you said, 99% of service people are good, but you just never know. Better safe than sorry!

I’m so glad it turned out well for you! That said, it makes me so angry that he tried to take advantage of you as a vulnerable woman. This is very helpful information as hard as it had to be for you to tell it. Things have gotten worse as time goes by. I am not a gun person, but nowadays, it’s changed. Two of my daughters carry a gun and are certified. One travels a lot for her job as you did, but only in day time. She does have some appts. In bad places. Like you, loves her job and stays aware of her surroundings always. Other daughter has did volunteer sheriffs deputy jobs. Scares me, but she liked it. Me, I don’t go out alone at night and haven’t for years.

I had a similar experience in 1975. Unfortunately I was so depressed with my life I just let the cop have his way. My girlfriend had two such experiences with two separate cops. She cried her way out of the first one, and just walked away from the second. I have a feeling these stories are more common than people realize.

@Grandma Patty Oh absolutely! In every office, precinct, etc. there were always a couple of guys who would be happy to 'drive you home' or be of help. Altering appearance by dressing very conservatively with plain hair and makeup mattered not. These guys were always 'game'. I always made sure I was never there working 'alone'. And having my fiance show up regularly was helpful. Late 60s & 70s were a stressful time to be employed in a mixed (men + women) setting.

After the deer encounter she had to keep driving -- and she was lucky that her car was even driveable. In the middle of a "national forest" there was low likelihood that a motorist might come along soon to offer aid, plus she still had her work appointment still to be met with. (This occurred long before cell phones were invented.). Later, when she found herself in the law enforcement's vehicle (under his directive "we've got to find the deer") her instincts enabled her to sense the seductive manipulation the officer was invoking upon the situation!

Thank you Phyllis...that's a very scary story you just told...I can't even imagine your fear and terror...Thank God things worked out safely for you...A few years ago I was sitting in a park in my neighborhood after work on a beautiful spring evening (it wasn't dark yet) and some guy came over and stood right in front of me and told me how pretty he thought I was. I got very nervous with my heart pounding (there was no one else around) and got up and started to walk away. I could feel that he was following behind me so I crossed the street and as I turned around saw that he was still behind me and also crossed the street. I started to walk a little faster in the gutter & not on the sidewalk. There was houses on the street and as we got a couple of blocks down I suddenly became very mad and I turned around and shouted "stop following me!!" I don't know where I got the strength to do that but he suddenly stopped in his tracks and said he wasn't following me...I said "yes you are and stop it" (this was also before cell phones). I then saw a man standing outside he house which had a picket fence gate and I opened the gate & made it look like I knew him and said "hi Joe, how you doing?" I whispered to him that the guy who was passing was following me for 3 blocks..He acted like he knew me too and I felt safe...I waited a few minutes before walking home (another 5 blocks). I was terrified...you never know what is going to happen.. I was very lucky that I stayed safe, but shouting to that guy was very amazing to me that I would even do that, but you never know how you will react when faced with something like that. Just wanted to share my story as well...Thank you again Phyllis.

Great advice. How many of us women have similar stories? I'm 63 now, but in my younger years it was a landlord, a doctor, an employer, another doctor, and a boyfriend. Naivety is such a blessing, but it can also set us up for trouble. I think we have to walk with eyes wide open. Could be the good Lord saw trouble coming your way and used your husband to try and steer you right. But, God worked it out anyway, glad you had the strength to get angry at that situation. It doesn't matter how long ago this happened to you, this is just horrible!! There are just some people who when they get a little bit of power they start to feel that they are above the law and are "entitled" to "things" that they normally would never even think about without that little badge or bit of power. I am a woman in her 60's and I did learn something from your video - I always believed when an officer puts on their red light you are supposed to pull over as soon as possible. Because of your story, Phyllis I will now wait until I get to a well lit and populated area before I do pull plus I will be on my cell phone calling the police letting them know exactly what I am doing and why I was not pulling of immediately!!! Thank you so very much for sharing this with us!!! Blessings!!!!

My Exhusband whome I was married to for almost 7 years was employed as a Dispatcher with the FLHP for the first 2 years of our marriage, he then went to work as a Sheriffs Deputy and the. Became a Detective with St. Lucie County Sheriffs Dept. His father was with the FLHP as a Volunteer and spent more than 20 years with them. Most of the men I knew were great, however we also had Gerard Shaffer who was a sick serial murder who was a Sheriffs Deputy here. Your advice is spot on. I am so sorry you experienced fear from a man who was supposed to come to your defense and help you. I carry and have for over 25 years. We as women must be proactive and defend our Constitutional Carry laws. We must always be capable and willing to come to our and others defense in this ever changing world we live in. Hello Phyllis! I realize all of the potential incidents I skirted on and I do NOT miss traveling alone anymore. I had always been hyper vigilant since I grew up in a very tough area so my inner/gut voices are quite strong. Glad you made the right/internal voice decision to stand strong! Phyllis, Thanks for sharing this good information. The most important thing for everyone is to listen to that voice inside of you. Sadly, so many people do not listen or maybe they experienced it and did not know what the voice was.Keep up the good work.Jo Ann

I had a similar experience with a Male coworker years ago. I was very naive and trusting. He was someone I worked with and knew. I did what you did. I took the offensive. I'm glad you were safe. There was a witness, he knew it otherwise it could have gone in an entirely different direction. If you feel threatened or are followed by law enforcement we are told to drive to the nearest fire department as they are staffed 24/7. This is what law enforcement recommends. There are all kinds of sickos out there posing as officers as well. I worked for our county sheriff's department for over 25 years. Thank you for sharing this with everyone. Mr Bucky was right to encourage you to do so.

That was very interesting Phyllis and scary, when you said you got in his car I immediately thought, oh I wouldn't do that and my fears for you were realized. So glad you got away from him and you finally got home safe and sound, well apart from the car damage. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing this, Miss Phyllis. I'm SO glad the Lord protected you, and no doubt, gave you the thought to act angry, in order to make him re-think what he had planned. I live an hour away from where I work, and have to leave out at 3:30 in the morning, so it's always dark during that hours drive. I've thought the same as you; what would I do if I were stopped before I got to work. And I'm so glad you said what you did, because I had already thought the same thing. To just keep going until I can find a well lit area. Thanks for sharing this story; I'm sure you have so many more you could tell. We'd LOVE to hear any and all you can think of!

First of all, I have just come across your videos today & have also subbed. I appreciate your content & the fact that you don't see the need to use offensive language! I have lived half of my life in the U.K. & the other half in the U.S.A. For a period of time in San Diego women were being pulled over by men pretending to be C.H.P. officers & were then sexually assaulted & the police gave women the same information that you just gave. If you are ever "blue-lighted" at night or in a lonely part of the county, don't feel that you have to pull over immediately but drive to the nearest police station or well-lit, well-populated area & then pull over.

Oh my goodness Phyllis! I was so scared for you just listening to your story! You know what? I believe God was right there with you and gave you the boldness to be assertive and strong just like you needed to be. Thank you for sharing this information with us so we don't feel intimidated either. God bless~Dianne

Dear Miss Phyllis, even though you are no longer present on this wide earth, this is a very real, and valuablelesson, one that needs to be repeated and shared. One can never be too careful, and unforunately this still occuers. Yes, there are truly bad people with very bad intentions, but even though you are no longer with us, you are still leaving us great messages. I am glad you made it home that night, and that I discovered you and your channel and website too. and then about an hour ago tonight, I discovered Mr. Bucky also had a channel, and I saw that you are truly an n...he spoke of angels and Jacob's ladder. Ironic. RIP, both of you.

I know this is an old video, Phyllis, but I had something similar happen to me when I was traveling alone through Virginia. (I live in Texas). It was a state policeman and it scared me more than anything ever has. It's a long story, so I won't go into it, but he was staying at the same motel I was. It was out in the middle of nowhere, and the attendant at the motel had left for the night. Nothing happened....I was able to get away from him, but it wasn't easy, and I didn't sleep at all that night. I still remember his name, and it happened in 1985.
