I think his main purpose is to be able to go into places without opening doors, hence why he was dropped into the ventilation system

I just love how much more alien he looks, and the idea of being able to slice through someone just by walking through them is epic! the face that can pretty much only see his eye when looking directly at him is even more terrifying. I remember the first time I watched ROTF. We started watching the movie but I had to go to bed for school in the morning. The last thing I saw before I went to bed was a razor-thin Decepticon slice through a National Guardsmen in full kit. I was terrified that Reedman was gonna shoot through my chest and kill me, the only evidence of his presence being a paper-thin stab wound in my chest That just goes to show that the concept artists do great work. The Bayformers get a ton of hate for their busy designs but it's all for a purpose. Think of the in-universe reasons for the designs. A Decepticon by the name of Reedman that can easily slice through you vertically before you even blink.

I have two theories. One coincides with WIIS #22: Starscream. Simmons and Mearing were on honeymoon in Morrocco and it ended poorly, with Simmons's obsession being the driving cause of their break up. Mearing went back to the States to clean up the political mess from the Battle of Chicago and Simmons moving to Cuba to live amongst the titans he had become so obsessed with. OR Mearing actually did attempt to arrest Simmons and he fled to seek political asylum where there was no extradition treaty. What better place than Cuba where Cybertronians walk among men.

You've asked this on another video so ima go ahead and assume you're a huge fan of starscream. If he had joined the bots, for one thing, the military would've stood a better chance because screamer seems to be the one who always gets in their way. Additionally, the autobots would've benefited greatly from starscreams firepower and also from the aerial advantage. Maybe not as an airborne scout but we know starscream has been invaluable to megatron (despite what megs says) and the autobots would most definitely benefit from whatever it is starscream does for the cons (seems like a lot of coordinating and tactics). Not to mention there's also the likelihood the flying dorito would still be alive. The autobots don't necessarily have plot armour but screamy wouldn't have been killed by Sam in dark of the moon

Ok, what I want to know is the bald guy ( I forget his name) at the US Base in Qatar who cuts the hardlines with the ax is in ROTF and DOTM, but he is not with the team that gets attacked by Scorponok. The secretary of defense-first learn of survivors from the base attack when Lennox's team calls in the airstrike on Scorponok. So how did he make it back to the states if there were no other survivors?

Never liked Reedman. His main function is impossible because humans have two eyes meaning even if he aligned himself perfectly with one eye, the other eye would be able to see his side. Plus his own eye is very thick, making it a dead giveaway. Maybe if he was put up against a person who is blind in one eye but apart from that very specific scenario he won’t be much use.

I think his "invisibility" is a byproduct. It doesn't have much function, he simply consists of blades. It is quite likely he can have other shapes to sneak through.various holes.

Theory: Do the alt modes of transformers have any sort of limitation or have to be related to their "age"? This is coming from how usually older aged transformers have their alt mode be older vehicles, like how Lieutenant is a WW2 spitfire and Jetfire is a 1960 SR-71 Blackbird. And how Soundwave managed to turn from a huge satellite in ROTF to a smaller shaped car in DOTM. This could *possibly* also point out that Grindor was actually just Blackout with a new alt mode since the CH-53 is a considerably bigger helicopter than the MH-53 meaning the new alt mode could have made him much bigger than previously, however Grindor being a separate character seems to be much more pushed as canon. Though onto limitations, can a transformer just scan about anything? Could the decepticon attack in DOTM start at military bases instead and have every protoform be heavily equipped military hardware that easily? Why don't autobots just scan very capable aircraft and land vehicles and simply have much more firepower? Why does bumblebee only scan Camaro sport cars and optimus only scans trucks?

I do have a different idea for what happened to reedman. In the clip of reedman storing back into ravage we see ravage fly back up presumably towards sound wave, so ravage could be shot back at the cargo ship with some of the constructicons. So I think reedman is stored in the same compartment as scaple but only one is stored at a time as we never see them deployed at the same time, so when ravage returned to sound wave, Soundwave removes reedman and places in scaple then shoots ravage to the cargo ship to revive Megatron. For the rest of the movie reedman is with Soundwave. As for after ROTF, Reedman helps laser beak assassinate the humans that helped the cons, as his thin body would be useful for stealth kills.

I think the reason on why Reedman was considered dead was because when the airstrike landed in the area, Reedman's ball barring were seperated into small balls, and the ball barrings were destroyed due to the airstrike.
