No he wasn't forgotten..look at his catch totals!! Julio is Julio. And for sure the reaction to Julio was immense after his rookie season. But Matt Ryan still depended heavily on Roddy for moving the chains. The explosive plays went to Julio, the Red Zone TDs went to Gonzalez, but Roddy was 3rd down clutch. And between Roddy and Tony G, you'll never seen stronger hands in traffic on any NFL receiver. He taught Julio that Willie Mays over-the-shoulder catch style on deep out routes. Roddy was unforgetable.

Cloyd Moore if you actually believe that you don’t know a damn thing about football and that isn’t up for debate, first play off the top of my head is him man’d up on Adam thielan in the divisional round and jamming him at the line and then picking him off as well, zone is definitely his strong suit but any hall of fame caliber CB can play zone, especially when Sherman was in his prime, just cause he’s great at zone doesn’t mean he isn’t solid in man 😂

I witnessed The Fumble '86 (Ernest Byner-RB), The Drive 87' (Do I REALLY have to say his name...?), 10-6 '07 (w/5 Pro-Bowlers, QB, TE, OT, WR, CB... But no playoffs!) The Age of Johnny Football: started season w/Brian Hoyer at 7-3, after injury Johnny goes 0-6 and takes us to a whopping 7-9 record... Thanks. Consecutive 1-15 followed by THE 0-16 records!!! Oh, how can I forget the current streak of 19 years of not making the playoffs. That's says a lot when in the last ten, the Lions, Bills (who have gotten good again), and Dolphins have made it. Put this into perspective: the Carolina Panthers have been to 2 Super Bowls since the Browns were last in the playoffs. FlemLo's probably reminiscing about that Bengals game where they sacked Manzell like 8 times, had like 2 or 3 defensive TDs... Man, it got ugly.

Dude had a great career and I'm so happy to see him having an even better retirement. He deserves so much. A true professional, and man, through and through. Sherman was out during Niners-Falcons so I wouldn’t count that

So cool to see the “generational” spread of knowledge from Horn to White down to Jones.

I mean, when your QB is Michael Vick, you're bound to not have many catches. Vick was too busy scrambling and taking off with the ball to pass it to Roddy or really anyone. Not saying the Roddy didnt deserve blame for people thinking he was gonna be a bust, but Roddy also cant pass the ball to himself.
@unclehousy-leotardo4 жыл бұрын
Vick didn't bother to study the playbook. He'd look for crumpler then run. Vick could have been the best ever.
