It takes a strong man to not seek revenge on the people who shot him. Long Live the G.O.A.T.

I'm not surprised. No person can speek things Bob Marley spoke and have normal heart. Impossible! This man had a really special heart. But I am so happy for this concrete proof of Bob's greatness. So thanks a looooot for this share. I just can't forget Bob Marley.

It's amazing how much of his life Bob was able to put into his music. "Ambush In The Night", "Running Away" are so impressive to me. In addition to sharing such vulnerability, he still made sure to put the biggest culpability on the orchestrators of the attempt instead of the pawns who made terrible choices & suffered for them. "Back them up, oh not the brothers... but the ones who set them up" in "Time Will Tell" spoke to this. It's very remarkable because the pain & betrayal were great. Please rest well in the African Zion of your desires in the Divine realm with the ancestors.

Stunning documentary, excellent work on this. To hear Bob stating the men were never caught by cops, and it was "one of those things", is amazing, considering what he actually saw and knew. He had to keep his mouth shut about it.

Great Tribute to Marley once again @Reggae Appreciation and one more feather on the cap of this UNRIVALLED REGGAE KING (Yes, I said so) THE KING 👑,...I first read Marley biography " Catch A Fire:The Life of Bob Marley " by journalist Timothy White back in 1984... Brilliant work but these additional details you've included regarding the aftermath of Bob's attempted assassination (Unbeknown to the rest of the World before Don Taylor's publication of 1994) is new and very intriguing indeed. THANK YOU, BRO. KEEP ON BEARING THE REGGAE TORCH 👍

@lawrencejawe9875, Bob is my king and teacher, for sure. I first read CATCH A FIRE in my teens. It's only decades later I'm able to fully appreciate the level of research that went into it. His maternal granddad, Mr. Omeriah Malcolm was a formidable medicine man and spiritual heavyweight in his own right. This coupled with details like how he referred to Nesta as Kubina/Kobina was mind-blowing. It's no secret that Akan presence was/is strong the ancestry of Jamaican branch of the African family tree. What was impressive to me was the retained wisdom which would've been touching had he simply given him an African name in a world intent on destroying that connection. It was beyond that. Kobina is the specific name given to a boy born on Tuesday which was true of 6th February, 1945.

@@loveheals6184 Oh Woo 😳😳😄😄😄 That's a wealth of information you've got here. I'm still trying to digest it all. Thank you 👍...Where does the name Kobina hail from? Eastern Africa, I should think..And the term Kumina you've just used is from the Eastern Congo Basin and in Jamaica I had learned is often associated with the Nyabinghi drumming style used by some Rastafarians...

@@lawrencenjawe9875 Dear Brother, before you give me, your sister too much credit, I must confess how I know this 😂. I'm Ghanaian🇬🇭 with some Nigerian🇳🇬 ancestry and a bit of Sierra Leonean🇸🇱 ancestry, too in the form of those who left The Americas after emancipation. I'm half Fante, which is a dimension of the Akan group. Now, it's my turn to hail the impressiveness of Jamaican🇯🇲 family. I knew of Nyabinghi drumming and knew the continental pronunciation is Nya not Naya, but I hadn't known the deep history of freedom fighters in East & South Africa who used the term. Indeed, it was only this year that I learned Nyabinghi is a sacred feminine energy/goddess who was venerated. That modern day Rwanda🇷🇼 had a medicine woman/shaman, Muhumusa who was a freedom fighter in the 1800s who would be entranced and receive visions. So connected with Jamaican Rastas drumming and chanting which are sacred and shift our consciousness, it gives me chills how you combined what remained of the ancient wisdom with the brilliant survival strategies, love and vitality to reunite us. Kumina is like you said from East and Central Africa. Accompong is still present in Ghana. Viva Jamaica and her descendants 🇯🇲. Love & Respect 💃🏿💃🏿💃🏿

It figures that in this crazy world armed fanatics would attempt to kill a man who stood for justice and love. Marley found it in his heart to forgive the thugs who tried to murder him and his family, and that takes a very special person. The world needs people like you, Bob Marley! Men and women who stand for fairness, justice, and love seem to be all too few today.

I'm right there with you, Sis. It's my deep prayer that it's done with integrity. I don't envy Kingsley Ben-Adir because it's a heavy mantle. I say this as someone aware that he's previously portrayed another ancestor dear to my soul: El-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz/ Malcolm X.
