I've learned how to properly set up my bspwm with you. I'd love to see an arch + hyprland installation because the way you explain things is by far the best. Welcome back!

Welcome back, Ermanno. I did my LPIC-1 in the meantime and am also entering the Linux sysadmin field as a second career. I would be really interested in some practical videos, that show what a sysadmin does in real life and how we can leverage our knowledge for relevant tasks like analyzing logs, user management, etc. And thanks again for all your great videos so far!

Btw which one is best? Xfce, gnome or kde I am very familier with gnome and kde but which one is best?
@eflinux Жыл бұрын
The best one is the one where you feel the most comfortable with :) I tend to use more Wayland DE's or WM's as they have better support for HiDPI, that means Gnome, KDE, Sway and Hyprland. In the end it really comes down to personal preference.

A new thing with installing Arch, now you can get the problem that the keys are out of date. That was fun, I think that currently they fixed it by suggesting you to update the keys first.

I'm so glad to see you again. It is thanks to you that I now use Arch linux on my 2 PCs. I would like one day you show us a perfect installation for a laptop with gnome: with the following components: xfs, tlp, linux-zen, optimization, nvidia switch (integrated and hybrid), timeshift snaphot with grub (I don't don't know if it's possible with Xfs), system maintenance: automatic pacman cache management... I would like to be able to demonstrate that Arch Linux can be the perfect operating system for everything. Games (with Steam), office automation, video editing and privacy. Thank you so much for your work.

Nice haircut - you clean-up nicely. Glad to see you again. Hope you're doing very well - welcome back! Funny enough, I've been getting into Wayland a bunch lately having kicked the tires of Wayfire, River, Sway and Hyprland. Never felt so torn regarding desktops and then there's Gnome Wayland and KDE Wayland variants that run so well on my legacy hardware. Wayland is getting incredible and now that NVidia has dropped source (API & driver code) can only expect great things to be coming down the road concerning the Wayland Protocol based projects. Linux is once again going through a huge period of growth and it's no less-brighter than the days when network connectivity stabilized. Would definitely be hard for me to overlook some EF - Wayland vids. Like EF and like Wayland --win, win. Take care and be safe.
