what happens if you kill the murder targets BEFORE dolor | baldur's gate 3

if you kill one of the murder victims before dolor (or steal his kill basically), you'll be approached by a doppelganger named "olfaith olumssdottir" to join the path of becoming an unholy assassin. all companions will react to you accepting the offer. if dolor is alive when you enter the murder tribunal, you can convince him to be your (temporary) ally. here's a quick walkthrough of how this questline goes.
note: your first kill can be the investigators working on the murder case (valeria or devella) but my game is bugged so I can only get olfaith to appear the second time if my first kill is someone on the list.

@@awitchx You can actually use it more than once, unlimited times in fact. If you twin spell it and target yourself in addition to your opponent, it does not disappear. Combine with polymorphing your opponent for hilarious results. (Oneshot raphael)

I know Astarion seems like he is fine with this . . . but I’m pretty sure he is lying, or he is trying to convince himself he’s fine with it, unless he is ascended. If you side with the goblins and murder all of the innocent people at the grove, both his romance scene and the non romantic scene are very different. In the romance scene, he doesn’t stay with you the whole night. This is the same guy who, if you free him from Cazador and he remains a spawn, (spoilers!) will freely choose to be a vampiric hero who fights villains. 😆

He generally approves of chaotic evil and sadistic decisions. He's on board not because he's team kill random civilians, he's on board because they'd get killed anyway and he likes to hunt for sport.
