What Happens in RACE MODE? - Mk7.5 Golf R

Hey man, love your videos but wanted to correct a couple things - Haldex does not change whatsoever with drive system, it’s just throttle response. Additionally, the soundaktor kicks up in race mode, and the adaptive suspension is electronic it is not magnetic (or magride).

Do you know if the valves open up before a cold start when I select race mode? So it would be: ignition on -> select race mode -> start car. I’ve done this before and I’m not sure if I heard a difference

I love your golf r bro!! Literally the only thing about this car that bothers me is the little symbol on the volume tuner, how its never centered, I'd just put like a sticker over it to cover it up haha.

Does your boost vary between drive modes with IE? I have EQT with my gli and eco mode is about 15-16 psi while all the other modes is about 29psi

I don’t know really, the stock car boost monitor is not that accurate. Eco shifts early before it can really get into boost, unless in manual mode though.

so i got the golf 7 R , and so far all the 7r's ive seen, all got that mode button near the dsg. but i dont any idea why that is? my golf 7 r is from end december, and is the 2015 version

I think ur talking about the start/stop button on keyless cars. My 7.5 has this.

u will notice the dsg is slow ass no matter what mode you are in. it goes into a special mode when you do launch control. do LC, and accelerate through the gears you will literally feel it banging into the next gear, as soon as you let off the gas pedal after the LC then it goes back to lazy mode

Launch control may give the fastest shift speeds, but the DSG transmission is faster than any manual transmission driver can possibly shift.
