I've let film sit on the water for ages before now. Most of the time it hydrates then will not absorb any more water and sits happily till dipped in. And that was a top tip from keewee before he finished his channel.

Yup I saw keewee's video a long time ago about it. Most of the time it is fine, I rarely have any issues.

How long do you have to dip after spraying activator. I always feel in a hurry. Sometimes after spraying the activator the film starts to disintegrate. So I rush to dip instead of cutting a new sheet

Depends on the activator, usually between 5-30 seconds.

I dip in cold water and it does takes a bit longer to hydrate but just a bit

Yup, cold water takes longer always. Usually not more than a few minutes though.
