Don’t count your blessings so fast ! I am 78 years old , all my life ,practically every day I ate cardamom, according to that I should have perfect health ,trust me I am inflicted ,with all ten. Is big marketing tactics, like Turmeric is good for this and that wrong . The only benefit makes tea very aromatic makes food delicious,meat tasty Rice perfect..and turmeric taste good and colored beautiful.both my favorite spices on the other hand Safran alter your mood , when you find out how expensive it is loos it’s affect. Cardamoms is expensive too. Don’t buy powder buy the seed powdered yourself.

Thank you. Only warning would be to try and get real organic cardamom. I have visited some cardamom farms (around Munnar) which are pretty intensive and they drench them in pesticides. We passed this poor chap without any protective gear mixing this huge can of a thick white liquid, he just said it was a pesticide and was 'OK' into a larger tank to dilute it and then they were just spraying the stuff totally untargeted. The actual pods were dripping with the stuff. I actually reduced my intake of cardamom after that.

Cardamon is a natural lactase. It makes milk drinkable by people who are lactose intorant. I am severely lactose intollarant and can drink or consume desserts that have cardamon in it. It is also a great medicine against nausea. You just take a few seeds of cardamon and chew on them. It helps releave the feeling nausea and balances digestive discomfort. But to lose weight, you would have to take lot of cardamon.

She needs to boil the milk-water mixure along with digestive spices like cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, tumeric, and cloves. It is consumed warm. She can add some honey to it. Due to the spices the milk will not be slimy, and it also has a detoxing quality as well as reducing inflammation. This milk helps people with insomnia. That spice mixure sounds good. However, I would be careful with the amount of nutmeg. On the good side, nutmeg, affects her central nervous system, stimulates the brain, helps children by preventing cavities, relaxes our body and mind, and also fights bacteria and fungi. But when used in excess, it can cause delirium, which is why Ayurveda suggests using it in moderation.

In Greek, καρδα means heart and, indeed, one spelling of kardamo (cardamom in Greek) is καρδαμο. The preferred spelling varies only slightly, as κάρδαμο. However, in addition to meaning cardamom, κάρδαμο can also represent watercress which, as a tender leafy plant, is radically different from a hard seed but is also famed for health benefits. I think it must be taken that this name derives, therefore, more generically, to connote 'for the heart'.
@michaelv656
@michaelv656 Жыл бұрын
In Greece they have named several spices in their native language, as in the case of cardamom after they discovered that it benefitted the heart. This does not change the fact that they got cardamom and all their spices from India.

What works or does not work in one person does not mean it does not have certain effects . There are many indivudual reasons why people put on weight or lose it. Cardamon does improve our digestive system's functionality and as I understand it, it will do whatever is best for the GI tract. The body does not want to lose weight but conserve energy and have the resources to its job, and cardamon contributes to that aspect of metabolism. However, losing weight is something we humans crave for regardless of whether we need to lose weight or not. Every human has their own unique amount of weight which is healthy for them. We are not all the same. Some had very strong muscles and are a little heavier, while others do not put on weight even if they eat a lot. which is because they have a strong and fast working digestion and others have a slow one. Cardamon just contributes to an improvement of the digestive process, which can make you lose weight in the long run but it does not mean you will lose substancial amounts weight. Caramon also helps again bad breath in the mouth and also fights the source of bad breath which is in a digestive tract. It helps the friendly bacteria in the gut be stronger and works as prebiotic, which feeds the good bacteria and helps ward off the bad bacteria. Thin in turn helps eliminate bad breath, But it takes time. It is best to consume organic whole foods becuase these are good prebiotics that feed the friendly bacteria in the gut. Gradually, this improves our overall health.

Funny how there's a zillion comments triggered by the mention of Greece when India is mentioned at the very start of list item #1 and then again at the very start of list item #2 so these comments didn't bother to even start the list before complaining.

5 Thomas asked him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going; and how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus assured them, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14 "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32 repent my brothers and sisters, only Jesus Christ saves.

@@Huntington446 " 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;" 2 Timothy 4 there are no wrong places to preach the gospel, all people need to hear the truth and the truth is Jesus Christ.
