even if they make increased insurance for additional ship parts , people will still get LTI because it saves money either way in game. it would have to be a majorly small base amount payment on a ship to make it less good but even then i can use that money to buy some noodles.

insurance for upgraded parts will probably be in-game cost or included in your Subscription if you have one in my opinion

SOCS defo helped with the number of locations, not to mention the complexity of those locations... not sure it had much effect on AI though lol... edit: i think the point is until then they were running out of server RAM - that's why levski was removed to add another planet. SOCS should help server tick, but if players are all spread out then it loads all the OC anyway... so no streaming.

What do you think of Take Two (GTA6) patenting server messhing? Does this not kill SC or cost CIG lots of money? About The Patent - In short, the patent outlines a system that allows R* to seamlessly switch a player from one session to another without a loading screen. This means if you are flying from one area to another, during that time you will switch to a new session without any loading.

what would tick people off tho is if LTI insurance was connected to the ship it came on. so you upgrade a pulse to a kraken for lti but it only covers the pulses value rip.

But surely people brought ships because of the ship, and not just for an ingame advantage with lti, so why should it matter. Right ? Haha

@@Eagle6Airsoft i think if you become a pirate you can bring over ships but you loose access to the ships left in the UEE zone. then perheaps whne you finally die and become good you have to steal your pirate ships back from pirates.

You're dead right about the law system and bounty hunting. In a very real way, bounty hunting is the most important deterrent to criminal gameplay. Giving players good rewards for enforcing the law system is the caulk that plugs the holes left by AI and Advocacy law enforcement. If you think you can rob a player's hab on Microtech and escape to Pyro, you still have bounty hunting players to contend with. If those players are good enough, you won't get away with it. If they're not, then you still can't let your guard down.

The amount of impatience and lack of understand of development of a independent game is enormous in some of the comments.

The amount of incompetence they have in their ability to develop a minimal viable product is staggering. Keep thinking like that and your grandchildren will be playing the beta. Do you really think the original backers would have funded this project as richly if they knew it would be 12 years to still have a barely playable alpha? I doubt it.

Quite the contrary, as evidenced by SC. They in theory do have an unlimited amount of time. They're gonna keep developing and improving so long as we give them the funding to do so, for something as legendary as SC, 12 years in development is nothing, and frankly it's astounding that they've accomplished what they have. By the very nature of SC, it will never be finished, and that's why so many people bought into it, because it will always continue to grow and get better. ​@@rp2974

Yea thats what I think is happening they think about what dream can we sell and how can we make people believe we would do it in time and how can we remain legally safe so no one of us is responsible for anything that happens here.
