I came across your videos by mistake so glad I found them I didn't realise there was so much to go wrong with the mobility scooter, so now I'm addicted to Your channel which I thoroughly enjoy and also the way you point out the things that are wrong and you don't make it look too difficult well done to you

More to the point, in this modern age why are manufacturers making these things waterproof? Are disabled people ment to be prisoners when it rains. Nice video, lots of good tips and a great guy, thank you 👍🏽

@@dwatercraft hi 👋 thanks for your input. Waterproofing makes parts Kure expensive so less profit for the manufacturer. Mind you they have started to make the throttle pot’s waterproof. And introduce seals rounds done controlboxes. Mind you not all fit them as extra few pennies for said seal.

@@tomjacques4 many of scooter users like me have no choice but to go our in rain ☔️. Have you any more tips to help keep us up and running in the rain? I use a Sunrise Medical S425?
@tomjacques42 ай бұрын
@@dwatercraft hi use a waterproof cover when you are out. The control oannel in that scooter is water proof so no issues in rain ☔️ but would still cover up just in case as water damage is not covered under warranty

Thank you for the video, it was very helpful. My wife has a GoGo Elite Sport, which got caught in the rain for quite a while and stopped working. The battery box was full of water, so I dried it out and bought new batteries for it. The whole machine has been inside a warm room in the house for a good couple of months, so it should have all dried out by now. Thanks to your video, I tested the batteries and fuses and all work fine. Like you, I followed the trail up to the main power cable under the plastic facia cover on the front of the machine and power comes through at just over 27v. This is where I'm now stuck. I believe, like on your video, the problem will be the ignition barrel accessing water but I couldn't see what that yellow wire you used was or where to put each end of it to by-pass the ignition, like you did. Please could you clarify what wire I need to do this and where/how to test if it is, indeed, the ignition at fault? I will also need a new front facia which houses the horn button, as this has broken. Kind regards and thank you.

I often wondered if rain entering through the ignition lock would be a problem so this is very interesting. Is this the reason that the key provided with the Go-go has a plastic shroud around it so that water can't get into the lock itself? Obviously if you're using a simple key without this plastic surround, as shown in the video, water could get it in.

Question about the charger for a Pride Victory 10. Should the light be red or green if the charger is connected to AC without arrached to scooter?
@tomjacques423 күн бұрын
Hi its difficult so say as I've no seen the charger and there are a lot of them out there. To find this out I would first plug it into the mains without it being connected to the scooter, then you will see a light coming on. ( that's going to be your mains light) then disconnect and install into scooter the other light will be your charge to the battery. if you are still unsure then send us a picture of your charger connected to the mains and the scooter. Regards tom

Thanks for your reply. I have checked the charger with my ohm meter and it shows 1 amp. That’s probably all the OEM charger does. Again, thanks for replying

As I can't stand arrogant people most of the people I know have little money for repair, so they come to me when anything needs fixing. Any help figuring it out will be much appreciated.
