i went carnivore prior to my brain surgery and it stoped my seizures entirely. i’d never felt so amazing in my entire life. i’ve been thinking of doing a food elimination diet then going strict carnivore for 6 months. after that i’ll re introduce foods one by one to see what sits right with me. i guarantee people who hate on carnivore have never actually tried it.

She added beef broth not water. I think the beef needs a little more flavor than just beef and celery. I think you may be right tho depending on preference. When I wasn't carnivore I'd add herbs, onions, carrots, celery and garlic. I'm not even sure if adding these things to the broth is really a big carnivore no no as long as you strain the veggies out. Not sure though. I'm a newbie.

I wish I could find a chuck or blade roast or any roast for less than 9$ a pound. It's crazy how much the braising meats cost these days. I ate a lot of great pot roast as a kid because it was the budget meat. I'm finding that I can buy lots of grass fed cuts of meat for less. It's strange to find grass fed NY steaks and skirt steaks for less per pound than chuck roasts. I mean she is loading up that slow cooker with maybe 35-40$ worth of meat there if she got it from Costco.

@JennyMitich even if it's boiled down, there are still nutritional benefits. There are more benefits to eating celery raw, I'll give you that. But, if you have hyperthyroidism, you eat it boiled, and if you have an under active thyroid, you eat it boiled. Same solution with inherent vegetables. We have this understanding that we can only hydrate with water. Most of our hydration comes from our food. But people aren't consuming enough celery specifically. No matter how it affects taste always encourage more ruffage in your recipes. You're not just spreading the information that you know and gaining noriety, you're also providing a public service that way.

Forget what she did in the crock pot. Do this instead, put a small jar of pepperoncini peppers in there and a packet of ranch dressing mix and a packet of au jus mix and add enough water to just cover the meat. Oh yeah, add one stick of butter to this as well. If you have never done this before you will love it. If you aren't doing keto just put some chunks of potatoes and carrots in the broth that is created and cook them in it after you have removed the meat. You can add the meat back later if you want. You do remove the peppers afterwards, they and the juice are just for the flavor and you will be surprised at the flavor. It doesn't taste a lot like peppers.

Spices are shunned by many carnivores because a lot of the people on the carnivore diet are doing it to reduce inflammation caused by ingesting plant toxins (oxalates, phytates & lectins). In other words, carnivore is an elimination diet for those people. If you don’t have a problem with inflammation caused by plant toxins, eat whatever spices you want.
@JennyMitich

@8thaccount321 it’s a matter of personal choice. If you want to go strict carnivore, then just use salt. If you’re going carnivorish or ketovore it’s not that big of a deal😀
@JennyMitich
@JennyMitich Жыл бұрын
@8thaccount321 I don’t agree. I put garlic powder on my steak sometimes but I don’t have any difficulty avoiding eating vegetables. Again, it boils down to personal choice. If you don’t want to use garlic powder or any other seasonings besides salt, don’t do it. If somebody else wants to use seasonings, then all power to them. You have to make it your own, and you have to make it a lifestyle change that you can do for the long-haul. I think we get bogged down by tiny details like this. If a person is eating carnivore, and having a lot of success with it, and they are using spices, it doesn’t make their diet any less carnivore than someone that only uses salt. I just don’t think it’s that big of a deal🤷🏼‍♀️

@faithtrout1181
@faithtrout1181 Жыл бұрын
@@JennyMitich Actually, the inuits consumed vegetation as well as meat. The only reason they didn't year round was because they lived in a climate where farming was impossible a majority of the year. Also, after large gaps of time, the inuit people adapted to their eating requirements. Meaning a majority of people would not thrive(or even survive) off of a full meat diet. Additionally! They consumed meats like seal, wild caught birds, and marine life. There was no fish in this video, no hunting, and no consuming of the whole animal. Organs, bone marrow, scales, etc., are essential to receiving a balanced diet with a lack of veggies and fruit. Thats how the inuits ate, and you arent eating like them. Taking bites of butter isn't Inuit, it's just gross. And just because an ancient civilization ate a certain way, doesn't mean it's healthy. Their environmental REQUIREMENTS dictated what they ate to survive. You're lucky enough to live in a time where all manner of food is available. Just because they were forced to live with lacking nutrients doesn't mean you have to as well.

we're omnivores, guys. like dogs and pigs. thats why our organs sort of look similar. thats why we can taste sweet things. its very basic biology. any disorder you have where meat is healing, it's because your gut bacteria is wrong. it's because your gut microbiome cannot handle things that ferment or stay intact in your gut. whether doctors can figure out exactly what it is or not. that's a medical condition & an anomoly. all 'processed' meats increase your risk of bowel cancer. but 'processed' meat literally refers to any preperation method of meat. this is okay though, because a normal body doesn't need so much meat that this is a high risk. carnivores will see higher rates of bowel cancer, i promise. and of course, the sheer amount of animal fat is incredibly bad for you. even people who eat normal diets have some issue with fats - a carnivore diet will multiply this struggle limitlessly. finally, the obvious sign that the carnie diet doesn't work is your poop. your poop isn't supposed to be like that, i promise.
