What I Cover In Birth Doula Prenatal Appointments

Have you wondered what in the world to cover during prenatal appointments with your birth doula clients? I've been a doula since 2015 and I'll gladly share the outline of my client prenatal meetings!
Typically, I schedule prenatal appointments around the following times:
1st Prenatal ~25 Weeks of Pregnancy
2nd Prenatal ~ 35 Weeks of Pregnancy

I think I told you this on Facebook in a group, but I Purchased yours when I first became a doula and customized it to match my brand and changed every page to my style and my questions, etc and LOVE it! While they are going through the workbook in the prenatal visit are you also filling out a copy of your own for each client? Or how are you keeping a record of their preferences?

Great question! My clients fill out the workbooks as a note for themselves. I take notes in my client management system based on what we discuss.

Do you have have any suggestions on where to have several printed at 1 time?

Yes! I use a local printer and they can do bulk copies (20 for me) at about $4.50 a copy. Some larger office stores may have different prices. I recommend reaching out and talking to a real person at some of these places and talk through what you need to get the best result. Feel free to ask any questions!

Sure! You can hire a doula as early as you like. Some doulas will accept clients at different points, but you're absolutely right that you need support early on.
