What temp do you use for the pork belly? Thank you SO MUCH for these videos!!
@OhPervyOne Жыл бұрын
I have questions about your freezer. The organization drawers are awesome and I'm jealous and we wants them, Precious, yes we wants them. Did you add those drawers to customize it or is that how you bought it? First, have you made videos about your freezer and its organization? If so, I'll go watch those first and if I have any more questions, I'll comment on those videos. If not, would you, *pretty please*, make at least one video about it. The drawers assembly within it.... are awesome. Expecially since the way it's done would keep the cold in it (keep warm air from getting out) and then the drawers would make organization much easier. And then, of course, since I'm on a pantry kick, lately, I'm also interested in how you Organize your freezer. (Oh, MAN! Your pantry must be damn-near empty now that you're on carnivore. Except for beef jerky, pork rinds and canned meats. Now I'm wondering what a carnivore pantry organization looks like, too. LOL) I'm now obsessed with your freezer, so if you don't want to make video(s), would you please at least share the make and model and talk about the shelves in there? Please, please, please, and Thank You kindly.

Looking for a new anything kitchen/appliance related I find that looking up (air fryer, standing mixer, etc) on the "America's test kitchen" KZbin channel invaluable. They'll take a wide sample of what's available & they put each individual item through a bunch of experiments to compare results (time? easy to use? space in & out, clean up...) give recommendations for best (the Cadillac), worst, most importantly for me is their best on a budget category 😊, etc

I was so excited about the chile lime seasoning, but I read the ingredients, and it contains brown sugar and maltodextrin. Maltodextrin has an even higher glycemic index (GI) than table sugar. This means that maltodextrin can cause a sharp increase, or spike, in people’s blood sugar shortly after they eat foods that contain it.This is a sneaky ingredient that is placed in so many foods. I ate some pork rinds that had maltodextrin in it, and it threw me out of ketosis. So happy for you guys, and just wanted to share this info.

I wish I would have seen your comment before I bought a couple of bottles. I thought I was on a carnivore channel and seeing Hardcore Carnivore seasoning recommended here , I assumed it had been vetted by Laura. So now Im down 30 dollars and will have trouble trusting this woman moving forward. Hardcore Carnivore is deceptive on a channel meant for folks on the diet and her failure to mention the ingredients you mentioned is flat out irresponsible .

I’m trying to reconcile the fact that in a video I just watched she said her kids haven’t had milk since they stopped breast feeding and in this video she says in her ad for LMNT that she gives her kids the chocolate flavor in a glass of milk in the evening. Not sure if you have tried the 0-400 method on your pellet smoker for the chicken thighs and wings, but if you haven't, I highly recommend. I use my smoker as an oven all summer long here in Mesa, AZ. Your instructions for dry chicken is spot on for getting crispy, delicious skin. I season them and put them in a cold smoker. Turn the smoker to 400 and leave the wings on for about 45-50 minutes. The thighs should cook for approximately 55-60 minutes. I have gone over the time on the thighs, but they are so fatty and forgiving. I actually like the taste and texture better when I let the thighs go a little longer. Thanks for all of your videos! I enjoy this way of eating and it's benefits.

You have to be very careful when it comes to air fryers. Most air fryers on the market have toxic chemicals inside of them and on the accessories that come with the air fryer that will leach into your food during the cooking process. Hi Laura, I love your channel and the common sense approach that you offer here. I enjoy getting meal ideas, tips on different salts & spices, and ideas for taking lunches to work etc. ✅ I have been following you for a few years (I discovered you on KZbin right around the time Dr. Berry was starting carnivore) and I’ve only recently decided to give carnivore a try because of the arthritis pain in my knee. While I had done Keto in the past and it worked for me, I was really struggling to stick to it due to harsh cravings. Within 3 weeks of trying carnivore, I noticed a massive difference in my knee pain, the food cravings completely disappeared, and my weight is finally starting to go down again - something I struggled with since being in peri menopause. Thank you for being an inspiration and sharing your content! PS. Is there a link for the cheese?

I never cook. My husband has been our cook all 44 years we’ve been married. However, your recipes seemed easy enough for me to make. Thank you for sharing, because I have made the fried cheese and the meatballs. I love them both! My husband was actually impressed with the meatballs. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing!

I bought my first pork belly yesterday and made the cubed pork belly in the air fryer this morning and they were so good! A great addition to my meal options. Thank you. Plus I made the bacon cheeseburger meatballs a staple food also. They are quick, easy and very good. Your videos/ recipes have really helped me to create awesome meal options. I enjoy a plate of variety meats. ❤

What I love about you and your channel is that you don’t do the… you have to eat grass fed grass finished, organic, blah blah blah… I gave up for a while because I felt if you didn’t eat like that and you happen to mention in a comment, it was like this CULT coming after you!! I got sick of it! And then they try to tell you, if you do the math, blah blah, you can afford grass fed.. I did the math, and no, I couldn’t! Not with the amount of protein I needed to eat! And another thing you said that just clicked, I hate the tast of grass fed beef!!! It’s disgusting to me! So, THANK YOU for not making me feel like a failure on this journey!!😊

We all wish that we could afford the organic, the grass fed, 100% healthy choices. I understand how you feel.

I too do not like the taste of grass fed/finished ground beef. It tastes sour to me, as though the meat had gone bad. There were four categories of protein/fat which I tried to do “right”: Organic pasture raised eggs; Organic butter; Organic air chilled chicken; and Organic grass fed/finished beef. I still do the first three but ditched the beef!!

Another vote for Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro. Super little counter top oven for summer heat! I haven’t used all 13 functions, but it’s easy to use, easy to clean, and air fries like a gem! I made your meatballs tonight in my Breville ~ Big Hit! So delicious! I’m so thankful to have found you on KZbin 😊

Many years ago we called that a CONVECTION OVEN, heating elements with a fan to blow the heat around equally. Now we call them AIR FRYERS ! Pork bellies look like fat pieces of bacon, they must taste similiar I have decided to buy an electric meat grinder, that way I can add most anything to my hamburger meat - bacon, chicken, pork, cheese. I usually add parmesian cheese to my hamburgers I cook brasilian cheese bread in my air fryer

I have the pampered Chef Air fryer and can use 3 shelves. It uses a Rotisserie, a cylinder to turn small pieces, and also has a tray with a silicone tray underneath to catch any grease that may fall. I use them to catch my bacon fat. I cook 90 % in our air fryer and have cooked a delicious steak in it but I really love them on the grill. Thank you so much for sounds the pork belly because I see it and I'd also like to know the best recipe in the pressure cooker. And the pork chunks! So happy to see this. And the combination of the Mars. I just started doing this last week. I just took it out and said I'm cooking it all to myself. I loved having different items to eat. Love your channel!!

Thanks Laura! Some great ideas here. I was wondering if you’ve tried the Parmesan pork with fresh, shaved Parmesan rather than grated?

We've had a a couple air fryers but had too many problems with filling the room with smoke when cooking steak. For a while I had to set the oven on top of our stove and try to suck up the smoke into the vent. So now in the kitchen, 99% of the time I'm cooking them on a gas stove with stainless steel pans. I'll try the other meats and ideas you have, maybe it'll result in less smoke. =)
@autumnfeldpausch5539 Жыл бұрын
I don't see smoke from mine but it disperses an order that's kinda like a plastic smell? And if I don't turn the exhaust fan on and open the window w a fan blowing out it really stinks and hard to breathe. Idk why it does this, it's Xair..something like that. Farigno Freedom uses the same one I have, he uses his outside on his back porch in Florida so I don't think he smells it. I wonder if so.ething is wonky w it

I'm new to the air fryer. But, keto/carnivoreish for 5 years. Down 105 pounds and I'm 66 years old. Not bragging but I'm an excellent cook. But, the air fryer is so different, I'm like a fish on a brand new bike 🤣. This is going to help me, keep it coming!!!

Last night I cooked a ribeye in the air fryer. I cooked it on 360 for 20 minutes. I only put salt and pepper on it. I was nice and crispy on the outside and very moist on the inside. Note: I have just started carnivore again after a long time off.

In the Caribbean, poultry such as chicken is "Swinged" before cleaning. Meaning, any random feathers are quickly swept over flames on the stove (I guess you can use your blow torch) or picked out with a knife. It's the theory that the hairs could get stuck in your liver so they need to be removed, otherwise, for those who don't eat chicken skin (madness not to imo, 😁), the same method is used for pork belly, if necessary.

Thanks for the recipes! I'm new to trying meat-based and, if nothing else, this way of eating is so SIMPLE compared to keto and all the weird substitutions I was trying to make. So much cheaper and fewer separate meals for me and the rest of the family.
