Okay, hear me out... I never thought I would be posting a "What I Eat in a Day" video but I think there can be some positives to come out of this. First off... What I eat is NOT what you should also eat. I want to reiterate that this is not intended to tell viewers what they should also be eating, it is simply a documentation of what I ate this particular day in recovery.
My intention behind this video is to provide some meal ideas and show others in recovery that ALL foods are okay. At this time, I do not practice any type of "dietary" plan or have any restrictions, such as being vegan, gluten-free, paleo etc. I 100% respect anyone who does practice these (or obviously has allergies) but I am working on allowing ALL foods.
I purposefully do not include calories or talk "numbers" but wanted to show a variety of snacks and foods that others could potentially be inspired from.
Another reason I wanted to do this was predominantly for myself... I know, I didn't need to post it, but maybe it can help? I write down everything I eat for my dietician, but the same way I look back on some of my earlier videos, I think it will be cool to one day look back on this video to (hopefully) see progress I have made.
ANYWAYS... I apologize if this is triggering or upsetting to anyone, but my intention is to be helpful not hurtful... I hope you enjoy!

Keep up the hard work! I tell ya, you think about everything so much in the beginning of recovery for very essential, obvious reasons, AND as time passes, it does get so much easier. I'm ten years in recovery, still hard days/moments come and go, as I am human, AND I have come such a long way. Trust yourself, don't hide anything, and be HONEST with yourself (and support members!), no matter what. You will think less and less about it the further you remain in recovery and push forward. Do YOU, and go at your own pace. Remember that you are human, so be kind to yourself! ❤️

Figgggg! He’s so cute hehe. This whole entire time I thought you had only been eating the meals you show. Not that it matters, but it’s nice to know you do eat snacks too. Thanks for just being real, authentic, and vulnerable. I definitely enjoyed this and would enjoy seeing more too if you wanted to make more. :)

I agree, Fig is the cutest ❤️🐰 Thanks for the comment. I was hesitant to show EVERYTHING I ate for the fear of people using it as a comparison, but also understand that it can be helpful for those in recovery. I never want to be deceiving, but also don't want to be "triggering". Glad you liked it and I will happily do more ☺️ Take care!

I agree “WIEIAD” videos are tough when you’re looking at them to be this beacon of a perfect day of eating, because there is no such thing. & Those banana bread oats looked incredible!

ooohh that breakfast did look really good - i might have to try it! though it's winter here so i might have a bit of trouble finding fresh berries that don't cost an arm and a leg. maybe some stewed pears would be nice with it? that backbend was impressive, there's no way i'd be able to pull that off without seriously maiming myself. sending love to you and fig ❤

Oooh stewed pears would be delicious, maybe with some cinnamon...? It's berry season here in Ontario so they are definitely being consumed in abundance, but I can relate when winter comes around... Love from Fig and I back to you in NZ! ❤️

I find these videos helpful especially when I'm struggling to eat. I had a bad week and I'm really trying to get back on the horse. This was very motivating and entertaining as always. P.s I saw a baby bunny in my yard yesterday and I thought of Fig!

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad week but glad I could help, even just a little. I find it helpful to remind myself that recovery is not linear and it's okay to have bad days as long as you get back on the horse, like you said. Fig and I are bother here rooting for you! You ate nutritional food throughout the whole day so you have to be pleased with that! I love your sense of humour and also the visit to the beach. Great video and now I have to wait a week for the next one. Keep on pushing yourself cause you are doing so well with your recovery. 😍😍 xx

not gonna lie that Banana bread oatmeal thing looks like a good idea 😋👌 also I have a thing with strawberries in that i have to select the darker red ones as these are the sweetest (light ones are too sour and it seems like a waste)

Although I can’t give you professional advice, I would urge you to challenge yourself… Based on personal experience, the only way to get over the fear of certain foods is to face them. As scary as it is, you need to try and see all food as good m (I know this is easier said than done). For example, I was terrified of bananas, then I ate them almost everyday for a month and now they are no longer a fear. Oftentimes in recovery, people say “opposite actions” meaning to do the opposite of what your ED is telling you. If bread makes your ED say, “absolutely not” then you gotta try and do it. Hope that helps 😊❤️ Keep fighting 💪
