I would love to hear more about easy snack options. I have no problem choosing healthy meals, it's just the snacks and munchies that kill me. I'm always craving chips or other junk. I'm not a big nut lover so almonds are just not an option as a healthy snack. Maybe do a video for "Healthy & Tasty Snack Options" 💚 ps- definitely trying some spaghetti squash this week!

I love doing veggie sticks with a homemade ranch dip that I make by blending cottage cheese, greek yogurt, and a bunch of spices (I found the recipe on Pinterest) I also love apples with peanut butter (even if you don't love PB, with the apple it takes on an almost caramel-like flavour-vibe that's awesome)

Good video! Point worth noting: 1. Fruit smoothies - too much sugar 2. Full yogurt - is lots of fat 3. Natures path granola - high in sugar (27g per 100 g serving)

What is your opinion on tracking macros? I am struggling to decide if its good or not to do please help!!!
@BeccaBristow8 жыл бұрын
Depends on what your goals are...if you are really trying to focus on building muscle than it can be a helpful option. Overall, my personal opinion is that it's too obsessive and teaches you to rely on numbers and now what your body is feeling (ex. eating extra food to reach your macros even though you aren't actually hungry or vice versa). I also think it puts a decent emphasis on junk food..I'm all about everything in moderation but most junk food is just filled with crap/extremely processed and I don't promote eating that kind of stuff on a regular basis. Real food for the win!
@mrandmrsstackhouse8 жыл бұрын
Happy new year Becca! How about doing a skinny on energy drinks. I used to drink them and I occasionally have a monster peach tea. Is that just as bad as regular monster? Plus my husband who is diabetic used to drink the no carb no sugar monster. What about that? Is that just as bad? Thanks!

"Even though it's fruit it's still too high in sugar if you have too much of it"... !!? Are u kidding me! Fruit is one of the most nourishing foods on this earth and the reason people binge on sweet crap is because they do not eat enough!
@purplepuppy21328 жыл бұрын
Healthy Crazy Cool Ya most nutritionists are dumb and know nothing about nutrition. We're all humans, the same species, we are all designed to eat a similar diet to thrive.
@stevenwade39587 жыл бұрын
Actually, cellulose (which is fiber originating from plants) consists of long chains of glucose molecules that are linked together by very specific linkages (beta 1-4 glycosidic linkages) and these linkages can't actually be broken by mechanical processes (i.e smoothies). So even though you're blending up the fruit, you're not actually destroying the fibre, because it is after all, thousands of molecules of glucose that are "chained" together, and therefore you actually won't get a huge insulin spike.
@nicoleevenolan7 жыл бұрын
Too much of anything isn't good for you, that doesn't take a genius to work out. As much as fruit is very good for you, it isn't if you aren't eating it in moderation. If you permanently ate fruit and nothing else, even though it is made up of natural sugars it is still too sugary and more unhealthy for you if you aren't having a balanced diet.
@spicybiscuit887 жыл бұрын
Sugar in large amounts is still not good for you, especially when its more quickly digested like in smoothies. But i agree that most people do not need to worry about eating too much whole fruit and its better than processed junk food!
