Teddy Bear Toast for breakfast: Ezekiel bread toasted in a pan with butter, topped with Almond butter spread to the edges, circular drizzles of honey, with sliced bananas in 2 corners for ears and 1 in the middle for a nose, and finally, 2 raisins for eyes and 1 on the middle banana to complete the nose. Yum.

Such a realistic video! I appreciate that you eat healthy but also enjoy dessert and even fast food. Everything in moderation and for enjoyment. I love it. I started intermittent fasting about one year ago, and it has helped so much with hormonal balance and mood during PMS, but I also feel so much better overall. I eat everything in moderation (no diet!) and feel like I can enjoy food so much more. It’s one of the best decisions I have made.

Struggling over here and wondering if you could offer some advice. I’m curious before you were intermittent fasting did you struggle with any type of body aches or pains? The reason I’m asking is because I am so tired of trying to decide the best way to eat to optimize my health. I went to culinary school. I love cooking all types of food, but now I feel like I have to limit so many of them. I want to enjoy food again and wondering what your thoughts are? Thank you for taking the time to make these what I eat in a day videos. 🙏🏻❤️

HI Patty, I'm not Jennifer. So i'm sorry in advance for being "nosy". But I would say that - as someone who also struggled in the past with inflamation, sometimes doing an alergy test may be helpful. Also, try to see your gut health. To relieve my inflamation, with great GREAT success, i cut for a month: milk/butter/cheese, sugar, gluten, processed foods, sugary drinks. What I did eat: almond butter, rice bread, oats (without gluten), eggs, fresh fish, fruits and lots of veggies, lentils and roots: sweet potatoos, carrots, etc. Also, pumpkins and tea! For sweetner: honey, mapple syrup. That said: today I still eat some gluten (not much, one day per week), some butter and cheese (moderate, like 2 day per week). And i still maintain my good health. I got really better. Oh, I also do intermittent fasting, which helps with weight and healing. But each person is different. You may have to find your own body needs.

I think I know the answer to this already, but I'm going to ask...do you focus on hitting nutrition goals? Meaning getting certain amounts or protein/carbs/fats daily? I swear, I was happier and healthier when I didn't think about those things. The more I have to think about food...the more I think about food! But its not in a good way. I need to retrain myself. I eat naturally very healthy, but now I overthink everything because I've been told I need to hit certain goals

I am ketovore with 20 grams of carbs per day, so my meals are pretty boring since it’s meat, vegetables, and bacon fat and olive oil. No grains. No dairy. No sweeteners. No eggs. That being said, I enjoy the “what I eat in a day” videos very much. That taco bowl look so good and you looked beautiful!
@carolthomas85283 ай бұрын
It’s a modern luxury to be able to call oneself a ketovore or , for that matter, any other kind of “vore” . People living in poverty eat what they can get .
@heartsandmindsathome3 ай бұрын
It can actually be less expensive to be a kind of “vore” because they don’t have to buy as much food, and it is quite limited, which they probably wouldn’t consider a luxury. So that would be more like something someone living in poverty would experience, rather than the standard american diet on which most people engorge themselves.

I’m curious if you can share more on how you incorporated the tips from Dr Mindy regarding different fasting patterns at different times of the cycle. Or does it really not differ much from 16:8, besides the week before cycle time? As a recovering perfectionist I have trouble with wanting to follow rules *exactly*, and if I can’t quite grasp how to do that, I’m more likely to avoid trying lol. It’s ridiculous, but if I’m not sure what day it is and what the rules are for that time, it all goes out the window. Do you make notes in a calendar or are you just used to the rhythm since you’ve done it so long? (Sorry for the super long question!) I hope that makes sense.
