I am taking mounjaro for my diabetes. It has helped me get my diabetes under better control. BUT... now I can get it cause of a shortage of people wanting it to lose weight. If really sucks not being able to get a medicine that was helping my health.

The medication does help others with prediabetes and other metabolic disorders. Everyone deserves medication, no one illness is more important than another We all deserve to be healthy. The manufacturer is the one causing the shortage. They make the same meds that are formulated for weight loss such as zepbound wegovy etc

I was happy that you prefer being in the 170s until you mentioned 5’11” then I thought dang I’m 5’ 6” and 177! I need to get down to 160 which is my comfort zone. I’m 65 so 160 is the old 140 for me! I truly hate when people don’t do their research and then decide they need to make accusations. Insulin is a fat storage hormone. That is why Type 1 diabetics have a hard time gaining weight…they don’t make their own insulin. I truly hate that you have to defend yourself.

Kristi, if you want to put on some pounds in a healthy way, I would make a Keto Chow shake with 4 ounces of butter as the fat and eat that WITH a meal instead of in place of! My blood sugar actually drops when I consume Keto Chow! (I'm T2). All those extra fat calories with your regular meal and you should start seeing results pretty quick! Plus, it tastes delicious! 😊

Kristi, you and I have very similar tastes. Coke Zero is my drink of choice. I love it. However, occasionally, it’s just not pleasing me. On those occasions, I place a bottle in the freezer just long enough to make it a little slushy. Then, it tastes great to me. Maybe, since our taste buds are similar, that would work for you for the Coke Zero Spiced.

It has never raised mine up. 🤷‍♀️ She can say “a good friend of hers” and yet provide zero proof of it and people will blindly follow what she says. 😂. So many on that video said they tossed out their chic zero immediately and never even tested it themselves. If someone is eating chic zero why would they eat snickers. Kristi, I tried the Spiced Coke yesterday, and I agree that it smells like raspberry. I used to eat hard candies that smelled like thoe soda. The taste is spiced, like something I've tasted during Christmas time. It tastes better with ice, but I think it's a no for me.

I have been on it for a year, they are a higher dose of the medication than used for type 2 diabetes to help control blood sugar and insulin resistance and other metabolic disorders they say it even helps with addiction, and for me I used to enjoy an occasional glass of wine or a vodka drink but for me the medicine takes away that desire That person was just jealous and hateful. You are truly an inspiration to myself and so many others

I wish I could eat choc zero. Lots of people said it spiked their sugar so I tested mine and sure enough I had quite a big spike. I've been in and out of pre-diabetic range over time. Not type 1 or 2. Just trying to eat lower carb but allowing for some sweets that don't cause spikes.

Kristi, when you were first diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic, had you been having symptoms you now recognize? I had to have a medically necessary RNY revision and developed reactive hypoglycemia almost immediately. Now, almost 2 years later, I seem to be having occasional highs as well. Not asking for medical advice and I'm working with my endocrinologist. I'm just wondering if you have any anecdotal lessons.

I developed hypoglycemia immediately after RNY as well, in 2006. As for T1D.... this diagnosis came outta no where. Previous labs showed I was fine then a few months later BOOM 💥 non functioning pancreas. I still have a hard time believing it myself.
