Thank you for keeping it simple and showing items from Walmart. We come from a mostly rural community and the most trendy store we have access to is a Kroger! For us down in here SE Texas, Walmart is our go-to! With a family of 8, simple eating is a must!

Melissa, Thank You so much for sharing this. You just made my life so much easier. I always over think my meals, I think I have to make alot of food and I also make unhealthy choices. I know I can do this. I'm eager & excited to get started to change my daily meals to more of a healthy way of eating. Looking forward to losing some weight also.

Hey congratulations on your pregnancy - you look amazing! I have three children and wish that I had known about WFPB back then. I would have saved myself a lot of misery, weight gain and energy. Oh well am here now. Can’t wait to make the soup - thank you!!

Hello, I want to thank you for the lovely explanation on your videos. The recipes looks amazing. I am starting a plant based journey, for healthy reasons. I needed a quik, and you gave me that along side with what I need to do to help myself. If I may ask what are the supplements that you can add to this life style, so that is all of your body needs. To my understanding it maybe some will be needed , like b12, and what else? please help me to understand better. Thank you very much. Have a lovely new year with your loved ones.

I love your simplistic approach to healthy cooking. Especially your no recipe policy. Not to mention that eating low calorie density foods will allow a person to eat enough and still not take in too many calories.

Hello, i just discovered your channel a few days ago, and thank you for all the wonderful content you are putting out for us! I just wanted to ask: how do you normally flavor your oatmeal (when you were losing weight)? Do you add any honey ot maple syrup? This morning i made a big bowl of cooked oatmeal and added some cinnamon and maple syrup and it was delicious, but i am not sure if i did the right thing by adding that maple syrup. Thanks in advance! I hope you are having an easy and healthy pregnancy!

I would sweeten it with stevia when I first started eating this way and now I use blueberries and sliced banana and cinnamon. :)

Hi Melissa, love your videos and all your plant based diet tips. I would like to know what you think about a diet that includes vegan bread? Do you eat bread and do you think they are too calorie densed?

I think she would say that while wfpb bread can be healthy, it’s too high in calories per pound, even things like Ezekiel bread are over 1000 calories per pound. It consists of dehydrated beans, nuts, seeds, or grains, so the lack of water makes it more calorie dense. Breads are excluded from her 700 calories per pound or under calorie density chart, but what you choose to do all depends on your goals.

I don't think bread is particulary unhealthy, but it is calorie dense... well over 700 calories per pound.
