Hello everyone. Thanks so much for watching my latest "What I Eat in a Day" video of simple Starch Solution meals. The end of the school year is almost here and I am looking forward to getting some good content put out during the summer. Leave a comment below on what you would like to see in future videos. Thanks so much - Joey.

Eat the seaweed, omit the fish, YES!! I learned that a couple years ago too and it blew my mind :) I have steel cut oats all the time for breakfast but never buckwheat groats - I gotta give that a try, it looked so yummy and filling! I love "clean out your fridge" meals - I've made some of my best meals that way!

Made the buckwheat groats this morning. Amazing! Love all the extras you add to the dish. Also threw in some fresh strawberries to use them up. This one will be made a lot!

I love your honesty. Yuck, bugs in the spinach. I wrestled with that question, to wash or not to wash. Now we know, yes to wash! Thanks for the buckwheat recipe. That one sounds really delicious! You could change it up and do the cherries 🍒 and chocolate 🍫 for that black forest flavor you shared a long time ago that I still use in oatmeal. Thanks Joey for another great video!

I love making these hodge-podge bowls too! One thing I love to put on sweet potatoes is a little squirt of tahini. It brings a whole new level of taste to the bowl! I also add a dollop or two of caramelized-onion hummus - yum!

I love your videos. I think its great that you are a teacher and plant based. You might be influencing some students too without realizing it. Your recipes look awesome. I think buckwheat might taste better as a morning grain with fruit. I made it as a dinner grain like rice and didn’t like it as much as rice. I did make bread with it and that was really good. I am going to try the buckwheat as a morning cereal. Thanks again!

Ooooooh, so fish get their omega's from plants just like cows get their protein from plants. Now people know. That lunch bowl is my kind of lunch and I freaking love pinto beans. I will be trying that for sure. Thanks so much for the food inspiration. I really needed it.

I tried buckwheat pancakes once and didn't care for them; however, this recipe intrigues me. I'm willing to give it a try. Thanks! I would also be very interested in some savory buckwheat groat recipes, if you have any, thanks again!

Enjoyed how you showed what you ate and how it fits into your day. The buckwheat looks very nice, must try it that way. Have you tried 1-ingredient buckwheat pancakes? Just soak buckwheat overnight, drain and rinse a little not a lot, blend with enough water to make a pancake batter. These make lovely pancakes/wraps in a non stick frying pan, or if you pour in little circles they make nice crackers. Enjoying your channel, such great advice. cheers

Dinner was definitely my favourite! Peas are honestly so underrated. It’s the kind of meal I could easily have every day with no effort (except for the cilantro sauce ahaha - I’d probably substitute it with a basil based sauce)

I never thought of using the budda bowls as a way to use up bits from the fridge. I think I will actually make them now as I always thought it was too much effort before so thank you for that! Im on day 2 of a mary's mini currently as I got too off track recently with my eating and needed a reset. Thanks for a great video with great idea!

I did find❤ a thing on my spinach. It was almost like a spider thing stuck to a leaf. I didn’t wash my spinach when I froze it and I had just made a smoothie and sat down to watch your video. Yikes! Thanks for the video! I will be washing and inspecting from now on…❤

I have never tried buck wheat before! It sounds great its something i'll have to try as I feel as though when I eat a lot of gluten I feel a little bloated. I have also never used an insta pot before. Is it kind of like a slow cooker or is it more of a preasure cooker?

Where do you find buckwheat? I’ve searched my local grocery store and Whole Foods before (our Whole Foods is a small one) but no luck

Hi Sarah. We buy buckwheat either at Whole Foods in the bulk bins, or at sprouts in the bulk bins. The Whole Foods here in Phoenix is huge and they have a large bulk aisle. We also have Winco here too that probably has it because they have a large bulk aisle also.
