I love that you let the music run at the end. Very peaceful. It gives time for the mind to assimilate what was just shared in the video, as opposed to abruptly finishing and rushing to the next one.

I got an instant pot for early xmas gift and I think I might even get an air fryer, too. My cooking is so legit now. Thank you for all the inspiration in your videos!! I have successfully done a complete transformation with my health via food and now that I can actually somewhat cook and just throw stuff together depending what I have, it seriously makes such a difference. I just wing it and 90% of everything comes out amazingly nutritious and delicious. Thanks to you!!

You always have tomato sauce when you got canned tomatoes girl. Just saying. Some garlic, olive oil, and Italian spices let it cook for a bit you're good to go. If you want to be fancy you can make a sofrito by cooking some finely diced onion, carrot, and celery in olive oil or water (if you hate fun), add the garlic, tomatoes and let it cook.

The seared tofu, pizza, peanut stew, and roasted Brussels sprouts and butternut squash look AMAZING! Heck, ALL of these dishes look amazing! Does the peanut butter have a prominent flavor in the stew? I think anything that tastes very peanut-y would taste delicious!

Uncooked canned tomatoes are actually more common on pizza than tomato sauce in traditional pizzerias because they cook at high heats that cooks the sauce with the toppings. I'll stop commenting now. Bye.
@SarahsVeganKitchen7 жыл бұрын
Interesting trivia. Haha. Thank you!
@Josephfrom19907 жыл бұрын
Look for Muir Glen tomatoes or San Marzano tomatoes with the D.O.P sticker on it. It means they're legit Italian San Marzano tomatoes. Muir Glen is good cause they're organic, a good product and more local (they're grown in Cali). Real San Marzano tomatoes will transport you to Italy. I'll stop talking bout tomatoes now. If you want to read a book about modern slavery in the tomato industry read a book called Tomatoland.

Please don’t use your mixer paddle with fully formed dough - you can burn out your machine! Once mixed, swap to the dough hook and let it go slow and steady for about 10 minutes. The texture is definitely worth the wait!
@lizquandt7 жыл бұрын
You make this all look so effortless! I don't have too much luck cooking anything without explicit instructions 🙈 how long have you been cooking, and did it always come naturally? Especially your use of herbs and spices! (I struggle with that)

Thanks! I started cooking when I was little, just helping my mom and dad in the kitchen. :) It took me a few years before I felt confident enough to cook without recipes! I recommend AllRecipes or Epicurious if you're ever looking for recipes because you can sort the recipe by rating. :)

Who says Californians can't make pizza? That combination was really good. I have to get some of those non-stick baking mats. My life is not complete without them. Do they absorb flavours? I think you mentioned this in a previous video or should I just get one for sweet and one for savoury and never lose them for the rest of my life because they're magical.
@SarahsVeganKitchen7 жыл бұрын
They do absorb flavors somewhat! And I don't recommend running them through the dishwasher because likewise, they'll start to taste soapy.

In italy we actually use tomato sauce on pizzas, no specific sauce or anything :)
@SarahsVeganKitchen7 жыл бұрын
Haha that's awesome! I had no clue.
@SeiraVonKarma7 жыл бұрын
yep :) also, we roll it out larger and thinner. You should try making pizza this way: rise the dough for a longer time (between 3 and 12 hrs), roll it out thinner and larger (you could definetly fill the whole tray with that amount of dough), spread tomato sauced (seasoned with some salt and olive oil if you have it, no spices) sprinkle oregano on top, than cheese (we use shredded or sliced mozzarella, you can use what you have), then add toppings such as grilled eggplant or zucchini, beans, spicy or non spicy vegan sausage and cold cuts, red chicory or sliced olives, sliced tomatoes... these are just some ideas but generally speaking our choice of toppings is less varied than in the rest of the world... And there you go, real italian pizza :) of course I ketp it vegan for you :)
