I eat very simply as well and honey is my only non-vegan food I eat as well! 💚 I just wanted to mention that grains and your produce (cereals, rice cakes) should be organic. There is arsenic in rice and rice products. And cereals with wheat that are not organic have glyphosate (which is the chemical in roundup) which causes so many gut problems. Check ingredients: maltodextrin is a git disruptor and sunflower canola and safflower oils are very inflammatory. Hope this helps! Nice to have other vegans 🌹💚🌸

Thank you so much! The rice is organic and I do my best. Do you know of any rice cereal that is organic like rice chex? I will definitely look for that XO

Organic rice has arsenic in it also. It's because of the nature elements in the soil. Wild rice and basmati rice is low in arsenic and rice from India. Also washing your rice before cooking also reduces the arsenic.

These are really helping me I decided to go vegetarian and it is surprisingly easier than I thought it would be
@mygirldarby Жыл бұрын
Yes, eating a vegetarian diet is very easy for me too. I've been a vegetarian since I was a teenager...I'm 52 now! In my early 40's I went vegan, and that was very difficult for me because cheese! I've since gone back and forth between vegetarian and vegan. I feel better and am about 7 lbs less when I'm eating a vegan diet, but sometimes I really just want pizza with lots of cheese. It's my one indulgence, but I don't eat it more than once a month or so. I really hope a company will come up with a vegan cheese that is indistinguishable from cow milk cheese like they have with faux beef and the impossible Burger. Those burgers are delicious!

I think people respond different depending on their bodies to different ways of eating. For me low carb and cutting out gluten when able to seems to work best for me. I realise that might be harder on vegan maybe. I think it has to do with lowering insulin spikes in the blood which tends to make it harder to lose weight or stay stable in weight , especially if prone to putting on weight. Paleo I found good too but again not for vegetarians or vegans. Just found it helped me.

Have you had a blood test? For the past couple yrs Ive been so tired and have gained about 6-7 lbs and no matter what, I couldnt get it off. I finally made it a priority to go to the dr. I am on a raw fruit based diet with plenty of greens and some healthy fats and I am able to eat until full, have lost weight (I'm 5'6" currently 116 from 125 lbs at 58 yrs old). I definitely don't want to lose any more weight. My blood work is great, just had it done, I do take vitamin b12 and D3. I hate cooking, I'm not against cooked foods, and at some point will probably incorporate them in my diet when I feel the need, but right now this works for me and I feel amazing, energetic, no brain fog and I am able to exercise every single day.

I absolutely love how simply you eat. The only reason it might shock some people is because society is used to over-complicating recipes. The simpler we eat, the easier it is for our bodies to absorb the nutrition and digest the food. And as we eat more simply, our taste palette changes and we feel satisfied and nourished with fewer ingredients. I am also a vegetarian hoping to become raw vegan one day. May I ask how you keep your iron levels up? That’s the one thing I struggle with despite eating a very similar diet as you. ❤

I love to get vegan sushi at a Japanese restaurant: Peanut avocado rolls with soy wrap (I don't like the taste of seaweed.) and steamed vegetable dumplings. Eating Mexican is another great option: I get rice, guacamole & salsa on the side and order soft taco wraps and make my own. If I want vegan pizza or pasta I have them ask the chef if there is egg in the dough or pasta. Then I just get marinara with the egg-free pasta and on the pizza I just add fresh tomato, olives, garlic and olive oil. And of course any vegan restaurants are my favorite place to eat because there are so many options. XO

Dear Lisa I wanted to mention. Since I am that girl who was also hit by a drunk driver when I was 16 1/2 years young and also a Senior in High School. I went to school day as well as night to get started with my College. I had a Law Scholarship to Law school at FSU. Yet as you and I both know. How anyone life can change in a matter if a fee minutes. You just being you minding your own business. You were walking and I was driving. However getting hit full impact from a drunk driver going 73 mph. Running a 4 way stop street. He at that time I felt ruined. I had worked so very hard and was so excited to be awarded that American Indian Affairs Law Scholarship. As they just didn't hand those out. You gotta bust your butt. As well as having the Documents about your Bloodline and DNA. My entire life was stopped on a dime. I've not gotten to the point of seeking him out. Yet I have written a paper of my feelings of loss and despair. My doing everything I knew how to be a better person. Yet instead I was broken. Badly. Had a NDE which was the. Kst beautiful thing I've every saw. I've had 3 total. So yes I know that our bodies die. Yet our very Soul is eternal. I believe we have many lifetimes. So I never got to go. Yet I did go train for several different careers. I still cannot tell you the exact thing I was supposed to learn from dying then coming slamming back into my broken body. It changed me in so. Anyways. When I read your story I was like. Shut the front door. Ni way. Yet it's true. I made the Front page of our small later. If I had to guess what I was supposed to take away from all the pain and surgeries I've had over these many years. Is to never take a single minute happy or sad for granted. Life no matter how bad it is. If you wake up then you are a lucky girl indeed. I've lost so many family members. As well as someone I loved for 21 years. That's still something I am dealing with. If you had told me he would have been gone in 20 days. When he did have some back issues and surgeries on his back and high blood pressure. Yet otherwise he was great. What I call the storms of life we have to go through. Go with the flow not against it which is your first Instint. It's fight or flight. That's how we are hardwired. I hope that your Dad meets your Dad in the other side. I am unable to due so many of the hardcore work out or running like I did. Yet I can walk, ride my bike. Use resistance bands. Themi have 2 other things a Spin Gym I highly recommend. To each and every man or woman. It's in a little bag and the wonderful way it's designed. You can throw it in your bag a d dash out the door. Same with my Bali cords. It has 4 places to put your hands and feet in the stirrups. It looks tame yet it will give you a workout. All things happen for a reason. I'm so glad I and my child when I did. Sx well as got married. If I had waited and had been able to go to Law School. It would have been too late. So my biggest blessing right their my Son and my 2 Beautiful Grandaughters. The oldest is so smart. She must turn 17 and yet she has been taking classes at FSU just as her Mother did. Yet her Mom is a Math and Science Instructor. So I'm so blessed and grateful to have had a child. As well as a 10 marriage. It didn't last as I had hoped yet found a keeper. However, he passed 16 months ago. So that's been hard. Yet anyone can do some kind of exercise. I'm going to start doing what you due every birthday I am going to pose tastefully in my birthday suit. I mean why not. I take care of my body, my neighbor swears that I am her age or a few years you her. I laugh because she's 44 years old I am in better shape than she is. Which she tells me all the time. Yet I feel it's because I dont smoke, drink take any drugs except for HRT & Blood pressure and stomach meds. There is time I have to take my migraine meds, yet I try not to. So yes we are all here for a greater purpose. So I try really hard each day when I awake. To just bow my these and be grateful for having another day. 🦋🦋🫶💃🙏

Lisa you eat incredibly healthy! 😊 I wish my taste buds could go vegan. But living in KS we literally have such minimal sources for shopping. Even our local grocery store fruits and veggies are sometimes questionable not looking very good. I appreciate these recipes that helps give me some ideas. I can totally relate to belly issues. I’ve had over 20 hernia repairs, back injury and total hip replacement all before age 50. I’m 48 and just had hopefully my last hernia repair fixing all the painful mesh. It’s true though keeping the bloating down, staying fit all helps with physical pain and issues with the mesh. I’m guessing you experience that pain when the intestines are moving around all that mesh. It can be so painful. I struggle with going to restaurants because I have to lay flat sometimes after eating. I really appreciate you sharing content on these issues along with hormone help. Geeze, the price us women go through is crazy but we can make it healthier and way more positive having a good mindset through it all. ❤

flaxseeds have a lot fiber, if they dont hurt you? It is hard for none fiber diet to eat vegan.

Funny how you promote products that sponsor your videos but you have never mentioned before, not very trustable I must say

Also- be careful with whatever pharmaceuticals your doctor has a person on! Many are NOT needed! They keep raising the top numbers 🤔🤔 Many medications will put weight on, especially around the middle. Hard to eat healthy today as most- if not all- of our foods are highly processed and or toxic! Keep on keeping on Lisa! Florida misses you! 🥰 Rub some lemon on top of avocado so it won’t turn brown 😉

Hi beauty. You really didn’t talk about your post menopause, only the foods you usually on a daily basis. Like are you eating certain foods for after menopause? Are you on any kind of hormone therapy for post menopause? Pills, creams etc. You look amazing and healthy but can you share comfortably about what your post menopause journey is like. That would be most helpful. Thank you Lisa. 😊

Greetings Lisa! I have IBS C and I still have bloating. Is there anything that stops it? I have been vegetarian for about 45 years and mostly vegan. Thank you so much for sharing your eating plan with us! Love and blessings ♥️🙏
