One thing that I hate about my g8 is the heat shield causing a noise from center console area. At first I thought it was a trans slipping but it's been driving fine and shifts gears ok. It started around 4000 miles ago. And it's not constant. It just happens on shitty roads, and Grand Rapids has really really shitty roads. It's most notable when going 30 mph too. Also a base 2008 G8 came with heated seats but my 09 doesn't..? And the dash speaker went out. I blame smoking personally rather than build quality. Also when at a gas station, you can't open or close the gas tank if your car is locked To end it, I freaking love these cars, and I just love the body style. Not a super edgy build like the modern sports car, but has a nice sleek, unassuming design and very comfortable to drive.

Dont like how radio power button is on the right side of the screen. Since its from Australia, I guess GM didn't bother to change it for the US market.

The gas tank actually does have a lock it just kinda doesn’t work sometimes trust me I have the car look up a video

For the radio screen, try cleaning it with a microfiber towel with a 50% isopropyl alcohol solution (or maybe it was Invisible Glass...). I remember I had to clean it up when I first got my G8 years ago. I assume it was some sort of anti-reflective coating, but the radio screen is so low that it doesn't affect anything.

The fuel door actually locks when the car is locked. Found this out the other day when I tried to get mine open with the car locked lol.

i installed bmr motor mounts and it fixed the vibration i’m cammed and broke my stock mounts while swinging so just get bmr and you’ll be solid

This one is not a v6, but I own one. At 3.60 a gallon, and a 19 gallon tank, it’s 68.4 for a full tank. I only fill up once I have a quarter, so it’s around 55.

Stock? Not really other then the lifters go bad most can start a round 120k miles cAuse of the DoD. Prob around 1k to fix But after that which it’s worth getting fixed it’s worth it they last a while.
