I was walking my lovely dog listening to this and cried my eyes out. I think I must have pressed reset about 60 times on Annie's alcohol experiment. I'm on day one again. I've felt really crappy and emotional today but have listened to a couple of your talks and starting to feel more positive. Looking forward to hearing more of your talks. Thanks Simon for giving us the REAL lowdowns and positive outcomes from ditching the booze. I really hope I can do it this time 😊

So inspiring, Simon! You were there at the start of my journey last year and now I'm at the point where I want to inspire others as well. I'm still pretty early in my new AF life, but I've never been happier. I can't wait to help other people get there too. Everything you said here is spot on 😊 Thank you for inspiring me, Simon!

Hi Jennifer, thanks for such a lovely comment, that means so much! You are doing amazing, well done. When we feel we have mastered an alcohol-free life I do think it is often a natural step to want to help others. You learn so much on the sober journey that it seems a shame not to share the knowledge, what worked for you, what didn't etc. To me I found this ramped up my accountability levels in a very positive way, it put a nice kind of pressure on me to never ever go back to drinking. I started out by helping people in my Facebook group, from there I trained and became a coach with Annie Grace at This Naked Mind, started being invited to speak in publuc and then I decided to write a book about my story along with all the tips, tactics and advice for quitting alcohol succesfully. It has been a life changing journey, I still have to pinch myself sometimes, I have been on the radio, TV and in the national news which is very surreal. I have seen so many other people go from a place where they are caught in the alcohol trap feeling like they can never escape then move onto helping and inspiring others to make a powerful and lasting change. Good for you, do keep me updated on your progress and if you ever wanted to share your story with me on a KZbin video I would love to do it, I am sure it would inspire many people!

Simon Chapple - Be Sober - Quit Drinking I could not agree more! I’ve always wanted to help people in some way. And, I actually studied to be an addiction counselor in college, but I quit because I didn’t believe in the methods. This whole experience has reignited that. I am attempting to follow in your footsteps and it all sounds amazing (except maybe the public speaking part haha). It definitely provides a positive sort of responsibility and accountability. I am starting as a mentor now and definitely want to pursue coaching for Annie if I’m lucky. I was lacking a purpose for so long, it was actually something that fed my depression and led to drinking to numb that. Now I feel like I have a new lease on life and a purpose to work for. I want to be a sober rebel and get in on this sober revolution! I will definitely keep you posted, Simon. And, thanks again for all you do!

Just signed up for your site and ordered the Quit drinking in 50 day book. I also downloaded the pdf with the 1st 3 chapters, there are parts I could have written myself. Looking forward to the book arriving. Based on the 1st 3 chapters i think I have finally found an appropriate approach to get me to a better me.

Very inspiring Simon! I had to laugh, the minute you spoke about buying the 2-3 bottles and then changing to boxes. It was like you were talking about me. Have just purchased your book on the back of watching this video!

Thanks Jem - yes, that was what I used to do, then the neighbours didn't notice the bottles in the recycling bin! So nice not to worry about that any longer. I hope you enjoy my book, I have a new one scheduled for release at the end of 2020! Simon.

Quit Alcohol Coach - Simon Chapple - Be Sober - I used to refer to it as the walk of shame when I was going to the bottle bank 😂 This is my second attempt, only on day three but your talk has really motivated me.
