I took the Fundamentals of Character Design course at CGMA during their summer term and wanted to share my experience, what I’ve learnt and showcase the work I created along the way. Since completing this course I have gained more confidence in my skills.

I saw that comment about the teaching style not mattering and basically saying that you really don’t want the knowledge if you can’t learn with any teacher. That person will probably end up being that boring teacher students complain about. I completely agree with you, I am 39 and returning to Art as a passion. I’m a full time engineer so I have no intentions to work as an artist and I have limited time to invest but when I do sit down to learn I NEED to be engaged…… especially if I’m paying some of the high prices of these art classes. Any way thanks for your reviews I plan to take classes at cgma after finishing Matt’s program so both of your videos were very helpful.

Thanks for these reviews. I've been trying to figure out what next step to take on my learning journey and whether they're worth the coin. It's good to see the progress in the work of someone taking the course. All the best

Thank you sm for this video! I've been struggling to come up with colour palettes for my ocs for a while now (I'm preparing an animation portfolio) and the tip about their outfits representing their environment is something I'm embarrassed never came across my mind😅also love your rika design, I feel like I can already see them moving about in an open world game.
