Loved this! Did you start right away, or after your scheduled call with italki? x

You can message students beforehand asking if they want you to prepare anything specific for the lesson e.g, topics, articles. Some students like to read articles and get their pronounciation corrected and after you can discuss the article. If they don't want to do that or their level is high then I would say just prepare a bunch of prompts (italki classroom has a feature where they give you prompts to talk about) as a lot of non-talktative students just say 'yes' also try to get them to open up by talking about your own experiences then leave time for them to open up. It can be difficult with some students, so maybe talk to them about speaking more (i've not yet done that but it may help if you have a recurring student who doesn't talk a lot)

YOur volume is a bit low Goddess! It's nice to record high so we can lower it if needed.

How do you get students in Italki?
@jasminerose7867
@jasminerose7867 3 жыл бұрын
It’s best to set your prices relatively low at first to get new students then once you’re in high demand you can raise your price. Also commenting on posts in the discover tab on italki helps the community to see your profile
