Nobody noticed one important revert of direction by Rolex: gemsetted watches (TBR RBR Daytonas, etc) are back again on the catalogue (during a long period they have been only off-catalogue).

I confirm it is made of a special ceramic (but of a different type than the bezel) and it was indeed a challenge because of the pressure and have a identic color with a different type of ceramic!

so many people poo poo the gold Deepsea but i absolutely love it! Why? hard to explain. i love tool watches in general and dive watches specifically, especially ultradeep divers. Ironically, an all gold ultradeep diving watch is like a "wolf in sheep's clothing", it looks like a fancy watch but still has the superpower of 4000M water resistance. Like John Wick's bulletproof suit. It's also why i loved the old Breitling Emergency in all gold (as well as their Superocean all gold). I like seeing things you wouldnt expect, like a tourbillon with 1000M water resistance, for example.

Thank you Eric. Always good to watch. Denim strap is in fact cow skin and really well done btw. New 5980 bezel is thinner, looks much better. Dial at 6 is reminiscent of 5960 which is a cult watch imo 5164G is excellent. Weight distribution is on point. How did you not talk about the stunning 5330 ? The most under rated PP complication. Agreed re IWC 🤯 Laurent Ferrier triple date is a stunner Chopard jumping hour is great value. Worth a look.

You haven't mention the Lange Daytograph lumen. To me Lange makes the the most aesthically good looking watch out there. I agree some of the records they are trying to beat is fun and important to pushing the technology to the next level but to me it's more important to have a nice watch that sits right on on wrist. And who's gonna wear that 1.7 mm thing other than trying to tell people that I have half a mil to blow

Eric, the Gold Deepsea is for Miami! I heard Rolex is sending 90% of the ones they made to your local ADs (/jk). What about the Mono Tudor Black Bay? Is it as close to a Sub as one w/o a Rolex AD relationship can get? 💯 on RM. Sad they don’t attend - didn’t do Dubai Watch Week either in Nov - but that’s their prerogative and won’t upset their legion of fans. I’m sure they’ll drop some amazing pieces this year.

There not going to bring back the coke Bezel on the rolex. But they did do the coke Bezel on the tudor back Bay, though. So ADs are definitely going to make u get those models to get on a daytona list... And the blue ring on the deepsea is made of ceramic... My favorite is definitely the JLC & the 1 watch u didn't discuss, that Patek Luce in blue... that was FIRE 🔥 😳

Why did you only talk about the 5980 and the 5164G for Patek? You didn’t even mention the real heavy hitters in the 5330G world time, 5236P and the 5520 two tone grand complication. Patek isn’t all about their sports models.

I like the 1908 a lot too. The GMT falls flat on it's face. Stupid bezel color and a stupid green GMT hand which is virtually invisible in the cockpit at night. There's NO WAY the main designer of the GMT line consulted a single airline pilot in this release. It's awful.

Again, it was a very disappointing release from Rolex ....I think they to hire and inspire more younger people to develop their future New releases!!!
