It would be a pretty cool kit for someone... The only problem is I'd be buying hooks I don't use and not buying enough of the ones I do. Now if they made this box with all the different mini compartments without any hooks so I could stock it myself would work better for me. That way I'd have a bigger terminal tackle box... You can buy the kit and get individual replacement packs for hooks you use the most.

BkK does. It is a starter kit. With unmarked mini boxes. You can buy extra mini boxes and customize with not only hooks but jig heads, wacky rings, nail weights, etc. they are only about $30.

That's a pretty good deal on that kit. If you figure that you spend anywhere from $3-$6 on a pack of hooks, with all those different hooks in there it's probably cheaper to buy the kit. I think it would be worth it if they are quality made hooks like your popular brands.

Plano edge terminal box is pretty awesome. Has separate compartments you can load your go to hooks and weights at 1/10 of the price

I think its awesome but a little pricey and maybe over kill for your weekend fisherman lol. Tournament guys, those tackle junkies and like you said ocd guys its great lol. I may get the starter kit myself and add to it when i can. I generally like my hooks organized by size and style in 4mil baggies in a box so its easier to get what i need while fishing. Down sized trips i use a big 4mil baggie with each individual hook i plan to use in the smaller baggies all put together in that one baggie.

Tackle Warehouse offers a starter kit for $39.99. It has room for you to add in other brands. That’s the kit I’ll buy. It only has the basics to start with. Then I add the others as I go.

Seems like a great idea, but I’m sure you could do something very similar on your own at a much better cost. Starting with a list of needs, you then create the box. Probably a fair amount of work but once it’s done it’s just maintaining supplies.

I realized there is no boxes for treble hooks. The small and medium hook boxes that fit in the case are only 1/2 deep.

Wide gaps loose fish. Did a test during an entire season. Switched back a forth on same rod same line. my buddy then stopped using an owner work hook and tried a wide gap. We both lost about 3 out of 10 fish on hook ups or the just pulled off on a wide gap from 2 different companies. Wide gaps loose or don't hook fish. .

@TmarkHigg-br4kw this could depend on how the fish are eating it, timing, line and rod, hookset, and a whole lot of other factors. Never had any major issues. Brands were you using? Not all wide gaps are even the same gap or angle. Up, flat, and down. Thin and thickness of metal etc.

BKK are top of the line. JDM and they make some of the best saltwater hooks in the world for the large pelagics.

Great hooks. They are actually found on many major brands hard baits. 6th sense for example uses bkk hooks on many hardbaits. Alot of big swimbaits have bkk hooks as well.
