This episode had Killmonger bodying Rhodey, T'Challa, Tony, and Klaue, so .... that was kinda depressing (except for Klaue, the racist sonovab--), but that's what makes a good viallain: he actually DOES what he sets out to do, and its effective. He didn't count on Pepper or Shuri, though! This epsiode made me sad until I saw Pepper go into Tony's old office and saw Shuri sitting there, and I was like "YES! THERE'S the glimmer of hope!"

Chadwick sounded sick this episode. It’s really ominous seeing his casket (with “Wakanda Forever” written on it) & his ancestral plane form. :( I’m cherishing these last times we hear his voice. I believe he’s got one more episode in the Guardians of the Multiverse finale.

Great episode but one of my few complaints is the way they nerfed JARVIS in this. If an unprepared JARVIS couldn't get destroyed by Ultron then there is no way I am buying Killmonger could wipe JARVIS' memory after Tony already uncovered Killmonger was an enemy and would therefore theoretically be prepared although I guess you could say maybe JARVIS was comparatively more advanced at the time of Age of Ultron given Tony had been doing Iron Man stuff for a while at that point. Low key unexpectedly naive on the Wakandans part although I suppose King T'Chaka's guilt could explain some of that on top of the circumstances of the drones attacking but the idea they wouldn't have made the connection between Tony and Killmonger when it was global news is pushing it. Shout out to Shuri for figuring things out though and it would be dope to see her and Pepper working together.

So, moral of the story: Killmonger is still a snake. Michael B. Jordan really has played a phenomenal villain in the MCU. I see why Killmonger is beloved by many. Also, rest in paradise, Chadwick Boseman.

I loved this. It shows why Killmonger is one of the best MCU villains. His cause is just and he outsmarts everyone. Tony is white and wealthy, and thus his privilege makes him pretty blind to the things that animated Killmonger. Being on the autism spectrum didn't help. For all his intellect, there was no way for him to see what was coming, and Killmonger was able to play him like a fiddle. Shuri is the only one left who can take him. I am loving this What If series. It is filling me with the same sense of wonder I got from reading the What If comics as a child.

Is it though? Is it really worth it? Not only is it longer than it needs to be (get rid of the slow mo it's a two hour movie) but it does a lot of things that make little sense. Also I don't think it's even going to impact any of the future films.
