What if Caesar legion invades Fallout 4 Boston ? BOS and minute man

It would be cool if there was another official FO4 update featuring the Legion as antagonists. Nate could follow a radio signal to the abandoned room near the entrance of diamond city and find a dead NCR ranger with an armored riot coat, helmet and sequoia. The ranger could have a note about a missing patrol and a possible legion base in the area. Each dead ranger, found at a different location, could have part of a code that leads to the location of a steamer trunk containing a key, a note about power armor, and a unique .38 cowboy revolver. After finding the key behind arcjet systems a squad of legion assassins could attack. The decanus could have a note revealing the location of the legion base, guarded by a disguised frumentarius, centurion with gatling laser, and respawning legionnaires armed with 10mm lever-action rifles, gladiuses, javelins, and 5mm semiauto carbines. When all the enemies are defeated Nate could access the terminal, find a password and unlock a safe full of caps and a blade of the west. On returning to the ranger safe house he could use the key from the steamer trunk to open a secret room containing a plasma caster and a unique suit of endurance-boosting NCR power armor

A very interesting thought experiment. It would have been fun to try to lure or route the Legion into the Glowing Sea somehow, let the radscorpions or deathclaws pick off the fleeing Legion.

Would love to see an America Rising 2 styled mod for the Legion in Fallout 4. Where you basically aid them in taking over the Commonwealth. There would be different dialogues depending on gender, an option to Spare the Railroad, an option to wipe out the minutemen and BOS, an option to turn Liberty Prime into an imitation of Mars, and to rebuild the Commonwealth into the style of Rome.

Lanius is the monster remember lanius can kill a death claw with his hands and cut through power amour. And vulpes is a tatical genius he sacrificed 2 men to kills hundreds in searchlight I wouldn't put it passed him to go under cover in the BOS and blow up liberty's reactor destroying a huge part of the BOS

The legion would have a hard time fighting in Boston proper just because of how dense it is. Keep in mind the heights and small alleys that could be used for ambushes.

Denver? High-Rises compact City their tribal enemies literally had the height advantage because they lived in the top of the buildings and hordes of roaming dogs as enemies as well

the most dangerous part of the legion is their ability to adapt to both victory and defeat like how the first battle of the hoover dam didn't work out, so they spend 4 years slowly destroying the NCR from the inside out with bribery and strategic ambushes or how they integrated the hangdog tribe, and started breeding dogs for themselves after they saw how effective dogs were against them and this doesn't just apply to the legion as a whole, but to every soldier in it. other armies have to rely on steady supply lines, and strictly adhear to orders while the legion can send a couple of soldiers skilled in survival that can be on their own for days, if not weeks waiting for the perfect opportunity to ambush, while completely cut off from the legion

I think the casualty rates were too low in many of the early fights. It would be more like the US revolutionary war. The legion would probably even have favorable casualties in a pitched battle. But the commonwealth would simply counter by raising their settlements and using guerilla tactics against them. Then the BOS would probably leave the airport after a fight and operate their vertibirds from the pridwin off the coast. Or they would be able to hold out in the airport indefinitely, but need to keep liberty prime stationed there. At this point the legion doesn't lose in the field, but their supply lines get hit and they have nothing to pillage since all the food has been hidden. In the end the legion would be starved out and incapable of supporting their overwhelming force. 6 months later they are so weakened from starvation and disease that the commonwealth forces can finally wipe them out in a pitched battle during winter. Either that or they retreat and are harassed by BOS vertibirds the whole way. Losing hundreds if not thousands with no way to counter it.

The legion has howitzers, the prydwen is going down quite quickly. Liberty prime may be an issue though. But i feel like Caesar would just throw bodies at it.
