When i think about the alternate possibilities in berserk. I always think about how things would go of judeau told casca to leave with guts. And i can't help but believe that Griffith with judeau as his right hand would have become king without sacrificing his allies.

Causality would've led to the eclipse anyways, now we have a 50/50 on Griffith's desicion on weather sacrificing the band of the hawk, or refusing to it. We already know what happens when he chooses the first option. So, if he refuses, Griffith fuckin dies, and that's it, maybe he foresaw this, so he sacrificed the band for him to gain the power to defeat the God Hand.

Casca mistreated Guts so much. Never liked how all her attempted killings on him are just haha or waved off. Especially after saving her overnight. She was arguably worst than Corkus.

Casca never tried to kill guts, when she attacked him she clearly wanted him to beat her. And she protected him when he was vulnerable. And criticized him for acting reckless, which could have gotten him or his allies killed. And she knew Griffith favored him.

She throws blades at him that we're close to missing his face after guarding her after she fell into a river. Another time and a more explicit one was when Guts returned after Griffith's imprisonment. She drew her blade was actively trying to kill him. ​@@wuzi7049

@@chunnisama6835 again she never actually tried to kill guts. No conflict they had was ever even close to their actual fighting capability. She never attacked him with actual intent to hurt him. And the one time he doesn't defend himself properly she stops because she never intended for that to happen. You not liking their squabbling is fine. But she never actually tried to hurt guts. Her slapping him was a more direct assault on guts, and that was targeted at his ego and behavior more than anything. And that conflict between the characters was more about their rivalry, conflicting personalities, and relationship building, and being responsible. The characters and context are important. They are both warriors fighting to be Griffiths right hand. Corkus was just a Griffith worshipper who both glorified Griffith and feared failure. So outside of some counterarguments and words of wisdom for guts. There isn't much for them to clash about. Guts and casca on the other hand have to deal with each other's baggage as they built their relationship while being rivals. Which was built on the fact that they are both warriors who have had traumatic physical experiences still being used, but wishing to serve someone they care for, and who they want to care for them. Making them rival warriors, who love and desire to be loved. which is why they both act and do so many things. Both of them are not perfect, and both of them have hurt and protected the other multiple times. No character is perfect in this story, and the situations and settings really set the characters actions up wonderfully.
