One sentence history: 20+ years of pelvic pain, various severity levels. Feb 22 I came to a dead end and re embraced Sarno concepts. Buglia videos were so helpful; specifically the living your life concept. I was better for almost a year and I relapsed for three months or so now. One key difference for my work now, I don’t look for medical cures anymore. This IS a brain issue. Just that concept alone, this is not medical, saves tons of money, time and stress. Personally I look for ways to calm the nervous system. I know I have that people pleaser, high anxiety personality.

I've been in the same boat with pelvic pain for over seven years! Ejaculation illicit very colorful symptoms. Sitting is almost certainly a challenge. I live my life and fully accept Sarno's concepts, yet the symptoms won't let up permanently. I have exhausted every medical route, too.

Male going on 10 years with pelvic symptoms at these concepts about 4 months or so. Noticing a change but it isn't linear but I do notice easing ofbsymptoms and better mood and thoughts around symptoms.

@@asylekrail8933 Keep up trying. There are a lot of mindbody concepts you can try. Nicole Sachs and journaling, “The Way Out”, which is somatic tracking, breath work.. You have to find what works for you. Also do get a stand-sit desk. One technique I use is to tell my brain something else. For example, you use a stand sit desk, because it’s good for your heart or core or anything else other than chronic pain. I do follow Dan B in the fact I don’t put an excessive amount of time into these practices. You can work on it without obsessing. You have to find what works for your brain.

I am totally convinced I have PDP. All my tests MRI scans, x rays, bone scans have been normal . My pain and FIT scores are high and my symptoms change daily. When I first watched your videos my pain reduced significantly. I am giving my brain consistant messages of safety. But my pain is back and I don't know why my brain is perceiving danger again. Any suggestions?

5:49 This! I’ve always compared my symptoms to others and was frustrated because mine are constant in the same place and it’s made me question the PDP results. I realize I am truly afraid of my symptom and am constantly monitoring it. I definitely feel hopeless but this video gives me some relief.

Hard to title the book when I don't know the style in which it was written but I would play around with Go Live Your Life: Secret to Conquering Chronic Pain; or Convincing Your Brain You're Safe; or just playing around with the term Perceived Danger Pain.

Thanks for this needed message Dan! Btw. How to move forward when in the process of losing fear of the previous symptoms a new one arises and one feels defeated, as if my TMS work leads me to collect more symptoms? Is my scary brain who is telling me this? Regarding the title of your book, how about: “PERCEiVED DANGER SYMPTOMS FREE YOU”

What about inflammation that is hanging on? Trying to tell my brain it’s ok to and it’s time to let that go. It’s not keeping me any safer. I’m telling my brain to prepare to wear my contacts again because that is normal to do so. Inflammation is definitely mind body, correct?
@infinitepossibilities337

Inflammation can have physical causes too(like getting a paper cut or a bruise). But yes, absolutely, the nervous system controls the immune system, and the immune system is what controls inflammation- if the nervous system perceived danger it absolutely creates inflammation

I recently reintroduced more food items and now I have more joint pain. Nothing to do with how I think but more to do with leaky gut...But yes, today I felt "am I ever going to get better", but that was after I got more pain. I did not expect to get more pain again so it wasn't bcs I somehow was afraid of that and somehow made it happen. I do think that some of my muscle aches are bcs of my brain but I don't think everything is bcs of it. But that's maybe not what you are saying though...?🤔

Hi Dan - another great one. Have you worked with anyone with post surgical adhesion pains in the abdomen? Endometriosis was not the thing causing pain - but post surgery healing/ adhesions have caused great pains - would love to know
@daniellestine2250
@daniellestine2250 10 ай бұрын
I’ve overcome those. I had two surgeries back to back after my hysterectomy and excision and I couldn’t do so many things because i fully believed that the adhesions were the problem. Once I stopped believing they were hindering me they stopped being an issue. Of course my pain moved to a totally different location lol but I’m just sharing my experience

@@daniellestine2250 oh wow this is powerful - thank you ! I've had one excision - and ever since just pain always on the left near one scar. Other areas all totally fine. When they have scanned me they said an adhesion is stuck to the bowek and ovary as it's all pulled down. So you had 3 surgery? And felt debilitating pain? But now all gone in that area ?
