I feel like Gwen's conflicted feelings are more realistic than her just slowly falling back in love with Trent. People's emotions usually aren't that smooth, there are hills and valleys.

If that is what they were going for, then there should be more explanation given. Cuz as it is now, it makes Gwen look wishy-washy instead of conflicted. She should say in confessionals that she is conflicted instead of not saying anything and then one episode loving Trent and the next episode she hates him again. I think Trent even gets confused by this lol

FOR REAL I’ve always been SO confused why Eva was so pissed at Bridgette when Heather is the one that got her out, if Eva was pissed at Heather I feel she would of been liked more Also, Heather taking Lyndsey’s decision vote, and then votes her out is so much better and shows Heather is 10000% not to be trusted Also also that’s so tragic that if this happened, Harold would get Leshawna voted off. I feel like his decision in world tour to sacrifice himself would be the end of their arc as he feels guilty about what he did

Been a while since I watched the season, but I think the main grudge she had was actually at Courtney who pointed out her anger issues. However, I think it's implied that in her anger (and due to being voted off before she could really get to know her teammates), she confused Bridgette for Courtney as they are both girls from the Killer Bass team (especially since Bridgette is the only girl left from the Killer Bass team). It's hard to make that connection since Courtney's confessionals about Eva's anger are in "The Big Sleep" (Ep. 3), the episode where Eva was eliminated and 12 episodes before her return in "No Pain, No Game" (Ep.15).

Overall I liked this, but I still think the Leshawna boot was unfair. I’d personally keep Haute Camp-ture as a recap/eliminated contestants episode and then have Leshawna get voted out next episode instead of Mr. Coconut. The reasoning is that she’s too likable and her and Gwen are a duo that need to be separated before final 4. It’ll be similar to the Geoff vote with Duncan and Heather still voting together, and Duncan forces Owen to vote with them. Still super good overall and I’d love to see what you come up with for Action

The idea for Gwen secretely being this double agent in Heather's duo in Episode 24 is just top notch. It reminds me of the new season when... SPOILERS Bowie teamed up with Priya and Millie to make Julia lose, but then she kinda doesn't at the start and gets to the finish with a lot of coins on her own, even with Bowie trying. I feel like that definitely makes more sense than having Gwen be total buds with Heather in this episode and Duncan gets out because he's an idiot who let himself be tricked by Heather like in canon.

Thanks for not saying that the gophers would vote off Owen in episode 10, because he wouldn’t get eliminated for eating the ribs, ever viewer of the show should know that the reason that the gophers kept loosing was because of Beth’s curse, and the moment she’s gone the gophers win 3 in a row. Further proving that the curse was what was making that team lose three times.

I ABSOLUTLEY LOVE THIS!, Hopefully you'll do the other seasons! though I'd add some things. in your haute-campure rewrite, have Courtney make Harold loose, this would make sense because there rivalry was a focus in that episode and it would show she still cares for Duncan because she knows if him and Leshawna make the finale, it's likely she would win, it would also forshadow her Action persona. Have Leshawna be shown to be a bit annoyed with Harold in the Final's and Some of Action due to Him causing Her to go home, also add more interactions between Leshawna and DJ cause their friendship in WT kinda came outa nowhere. This would also cause Harold to be slightly Jealous of DJ (though only slightly) cause he thinks he has compititon for Leshawna Heart.

Have you seen "How I Would Change Total Drama Action?" It's a two part three hour podcast, and it's super interesting. The host makes some seriously valid points about why TDA is a terrible season and gave solutions on how to improve it. The revitalized elimination order he made blew my mind.

Great job on this video. The writer's definitely should've done a better job explaining the eliminations each episode and making the challenges make sense. I think there is enough subtext to properly explain each elimination with only minimal uncertainties. I wish it was more fleshed out by the writers, but that also adds to the charm of this season in a way. It takes many rewatches of this season to fully understand what is going on behind the scenes.

It got revealed that Leshawna's Elimination was originally supposed to be a fashion contest that Owen wins, so they boot Leshawna, similar to why they Booted Geoff, because they thought the end would come down to a popular vote

Another way to fix Leshawana being eliminated is to make episode 23 a elimination episode Heather wins immunity & votes Leshawna Heather overhears Gwen & Leshawna talking about getting out Duncan this gives her an idea to get her out. so she tells Duncan this & says that Leshawna is a thereat because she's well liked. Duncan says to Owen that if he votes Leshawna he will take him to the final or maybe make Duncan make a thereat to make Owen vote Leshawna or something like that. Then Leshawna is eliminated & is shoked because she thought that Owen would vote for Duncan.

Here's my pitch for Leshawnas elimination. Don't include it at all in "After the Dock of Shame" at all. No elimination in that episode. Instead, include her in Camp castaways. Have her in a scene early on where she leaves Owen and Duncan behind. Assuming this was a challenge and trying to get immunity for herself. Perhaps she thinks she need to go back to camp instead of wherever Chris and Chef actually are. Have the episode play as normal besides a single scene where she makes it to the kitchen or whatever and finds the good food and begins eating all of it. That way when the elimination of the episode comes. all you need to do is include a line about Duncan and Owen being upset at Leshawna ditching them and then gourging on food while they starved in a cabin and shared secrets. THEN this could easily follow into Are we there Yeti, since now Gwen would work with Heather more believably. Since while she hates Heather, she feels more betrayed at the guys for working WITH Heather. Making the Team up makes sense.

Some ideas to fix the unfair eliminations: Instead of having Courtney be eliminated through a rigged vote, why not have her cause the team to lose the challange somehow? Instead of having Lindsay eliminated over a bullshit technicality.. just get rid of the technicality, and have her lose the challange fair and square. Give her a bad bike or something, Idk. Instead of having Leshawna accidentally voted off by all the eliminated characters, just make that a non-elimination episode, and have her eliminated some other way in the next episode, instead of the coconut.

I enjoyed this, but the only part that vexed me was the Geoff boot. It was confirmed that Duncan, Heather, and Owen voted him off, so it’s likely that Gwen and Geoff just voted for Duncan and Owen respectively. That way it’s 3-1-1-1!

Island had many inconsistencies but in a sense I think it has some charm to it. I find funny how things have no sense / explanation and you just have to go with it (for example Izzy's joining Heather's alliance). However there are few things by which I'm still not convinced. Even though I think it was a good thing Justin left early because his character back then had no depths (and I think it was okay because it was funny that he was there but had no line). But his elimination makes zero sense. He got robbed. How could Heather's alliance members still support her after what she did. Plus they were all in love with Justin. And why did Heather need to read Gwen's diary in the first place?????? I'm guessing it was to show how far she was willing to go to destroy the opponents that appeared like threats to her but it was a move that put her in such a bad position. She clearly should not have been that confident after doing this.

I don't think that's the issue here. Chris only said that as the reason why they were in Bottom 3, it was not a condition. Geoff and Harold also lost their challenges and nothing was mentioned about them, just those three. It would just make more sense to eliminate the people who fumbled the most, even so Tyler should still get a point despite being eliminated.
