What if James was the protagonist of Sodor Dark Times instead of Gordon?

After three weeks of hard work, a little bit of laziness, and some trouble, I finally present to you my first big video!
So, do all of you remember Sodor Dark Times, the Thomas fan series by ‪@Skarloey123‬ where Gordon stops an evil mad bomber called Alfred? In case you don't, here are the links to the three episodes.

Hey guys. So, I was talking to Deviantart user ZIOMEB25 on Deviantart (yes, I have a Deviantart account too, which is called Everything2004), and he made a very good point on why O prefer this video to the original Sodor Dark Times (apologizes if I sound disrespectful to Skarloey123). Gordon has no reason to be the protagonist at all! Yes, I said it. He only appears in Part 1 at the end to grieve Henry’s loss, and has no reason to be suspicious of Alfred whatsoever! James on the other hand, as you see in this video, sees Alfred after seeing Henry’s corpse, when Alfred shouldn’t be on Sodor at all, so James has every reason to be suspicious of Alfred! Also, he’s got the biggest reason to feel sad about Henry’s death, because he feels it’s his fault for not helping Henry when he needed it. So that is why I now think James should have been the protagonist of Sodor Dark Times, not Gordon!

I really enjoy this take of Sodor: Dark Times. Honestly James works as a protagonist slightly better than Gordon due to his seeming connection to Henry's death. Also he's one of my favorite characters...so I may be biased. Still amazing work!

How about this: James also tells Gordon about his nightmare of Alfred killing Henry, to which Gordon reveals to James he had the exact same nightmare too, and has started to feel that something is off about Alfred. That night, they both find out about Alfred’s plot

No, it doesn't. Thomas' Christmas Party takes place in 1952, and Henry gets his new shape in 1935. I think Henry being in his old shape was just a mistake

I mean this wasn't bad some things I want to criticize at the end are how the fat controller just glosses over how all but two of his engines are gone why would James take Alfred with him, he is on the same track as Alfred, he can just, not move until authorities arrive. and some bits felt a bit cliché and I already knew what would happen, not just because I watched the original but some parts just felt un original. other than that not bad, and it has a pretty interesting concept

James edward and Thomas died for no reason. Sadly... But what happened to percy in the explosion? He wasn't there... And percy arrived on sodor in 1934, meanwhile Toby arrived somewhere in 1940 But I love how james gets so nice the way james witnesses every death

What happens if sodor dark times took place in year 2013. (Edited) Henry’s death will took place in June-25-2009 And Alfred’s arrival will take in day of merch-3-2013 And explosion of knapford station will take place in midnight 3:41am 3/13/2013 And Alfred/8572’s death will be same date as 3-13-2013 I want to changes Gordon will stay as protagonist A new human protagonist named Alex grunt as James’ driver plus the narrator. And James will be a possibility major protagonist Alfred will as 8572 because Alfred and 98462 are not the same character, there different and separated character Henry will died in fatal crash after brakes failed by gunpowder vans at near wellsworth station with Gordon witness causing him a brutal damaged and beyond repair, sir topham hatt have sadly no choice but send him scrap. Deaths: Henry died from fatal crash and scrapped in chapter 1 Bill, Ben, diesel, Derek, Billy, and Neville died in end of chapter 2 off camera and opening scene of chapter 3. In final chapter, James will sacrifices himself to end Alfred’s reign of terror. Ending will be different than original, the ending shown Alex is standing at golden statue of James the hero of sodor as he ends the story here.

Interesting au but the only difference is that I would rather have certain parts be a bit original because they're certain scenes that ripped off T1E2H3 or other ttte users I believe I would swap Gordon and Edward roles for certain scenes l would rather have Gordon scold james instead of Edward when james refuses to help Henry at the beginning but l would keep edward for when talks to the fatt controller about alferd but i would have him in Gordon's place when he and james sleep at knapford and when they find out everything behind Henry's demise since james had told Edward what happened before if you now what I mean and would have him sacrifice himself instead of Gordon after alferd derailed's james & have Gordon say alive with Thomas at the end after james kills alferd just my opinion.
