We've already seen with Terry McGinnis The Joker cannot handle other people being funny. On top of that Joker's entire philosophy is that it all only takes one bad day for someone to go insane yet for Spider-Man, every day is a bad day. Plus Spider-Man has powers to protect him. I don't think it would work out for Joker.

People probably won't agree with me on this but honestly, I feel that Spidey would be able to save Jack Napier from falling into the vat of chemicals that would make him the monster we usually see him as. And if Joker did have his famous tragic backstory, then I can see some changes occuring. I can imagine Spider-Man webbing Jack before he falls into the vat and when pulling him up, he starts to think that instead of Jack being the cunning Red Hood robber Spidey originally beleived from the papers, he sees a truly broken man who has lost everything. So, Spidey takes Jack away from the chemical plant and as the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man he is, he begins to listen to Jack's story; How his wife was pregnant and that she died, how he originally joined the heist to help support his child but was forced into it by the other gang members and that he had...a really bad day. Perhaps Spidey would be able to make Jack feel better due to him always looking out for the little guy and perhaps he could inspire Jack to become The Joker but not as a villain but a hero. Or atleast, that's just my two cents anyways. You're all free to disagree.

considering how much spiderman looks out for his villains in the comics I can see this being a real thing he would do. not sure about joker becoming/trying to be a hero like in the tell tale game but then again I don't know That much on the joker to begin with. still a really interesting take!!!

Joker would make Spider-man's life hell by killing Gwen in gruesome fashion (with a crowbar), traumatizing May by cutting a smile on her face, crippling MJ then taking pics of her in pain to make Spider-man snap, and probably manipulating him into killing Jameson after finally getting him to snap.

Joker would target civilians, Spider-Man would save some, and take it extremely hard when he fails to save others. JJ Jameson would criticize Spider-Man’s failure to save those people, or even accuse Spider-Man of working with joker, and bring up the amount of people killed by the joker and blame that on Spider-Man for not killing the joker himself (trying to get the public in an uproar against Spider-Man). Joker would target the bugle just because even he is annoyed by JJ Jameson, and the quick response from Spider-Man gives joker the idea that the bugle is a point of vulnerability for Spider-Man. So joker would attack it with laughing gas, say perhaps aunt may or Mary Jane go to visit Peter at work and they die in the attack. Peter Parker goes black suit Spider-Man, he’d be tempted more then ever to kill the joker, think Spider-Man in black suit hunting down shocker in tas. But Peter would ultimately resist. Joker gets thrown into jail, he meets cladus casity, kills him and takes his carnage symbiot. Spider-Man and Venus have to work together to fight the joker. Ultimately joker loses and venom takes joker to Dr strange, strange brings in ghost rider and Scarlet witch, scarlet witch zaps symbiot joker taking away the symbiot and destroying in, then ghost rider gives joker the penance stare. If for any dumb ass reason that doesn’t work, the punisher will be there to put a bullet through his head to finish joker off.

So many people keep saying that we've already seen with Terry McGinnis That Joker cannot handle other people being funny. But I don't think that's true... I may be remembering it wrong, but from what I remember, the Joker had such an issue because Batman isn't supposed to be funny. He's supposed to be stoic. And The Joker is obsessed with the Batman. If the situation were reversed, the Joker would react similarly. If the batman we're known for being funny but suddenly was stoic, the joker would freak out very similarly. It wasn't that he couldn't handle people being funny with him. It was that he couldn't handle Batman not being Batman. at least, that's how I remember understanding the scene.

So I think Joker would certainly use diversion tactics and just go on killing sprees. I mean if he recognizes that Spiderman is younger I could see him filling up a school’s duct system joker gas to see if he gets him. If he ever learns his secret identity he’d definitely do that or kidnap someone close to him, torture them to a breaking point and then let them at him or even dig up uncle Ben and just desecrate his body in front of him. Could Spider-Man combat the Joker gas (if he faces him for the first time there’s no way to prepare) he is smart but he does lack resources. I also don’t know about Spider-Man’s detective skills either (don’t really read comics but every portrayal of him in media that side isn’t highlighted)

Joker would be great at manipulating the underworld characters, anyone with care or personal ties, but guys like carnage, venom, kane, goblin and toxin are blatant avoid at all costs. I also spidey wouldn't be as fun to torment, he's no wear near as stalwart as bats, or as insane, probably too easy to break and get to kill.

I take a different route. Joker would not target Peter, at least not at first. He would target Wilson Fisk. And then the Kingpin would pound him into paste. Not even Spiderman has a code against killing, it's just a strongly worded suggestion. Kingpin has no such thing so Joker is always on the edge here.

He also has mutates at every level of his empire. Joker is not going to destroy that before Fisk finds him. Then Joker is inside out again. Joker takes Shocker mid difficulty. He takes Rhino very hard difficulty. Then he starts taking L's. Spiderman's rogues gallery are a bit too much for the Clown Prince of Crime. And if he goes after Peter, you have Wade finding out and Joker has another comedian ready to use his toys. "Hey Pete, why is there a playing card in front of us?" "Wade, let me introduce you to the Joker. He just spent three hours talking about my no killing code." "No I didn't Spider-Brain. It was thirty seconds." "It felt like it." "I like his suit. But if Aunt May got some Joker Toxin and is smiling ear from ear, Peter will take him out himself. Or if Joker picks a fight without Peter around, Carnage isn't asking what would Peter do, nor will Doc Ock or Green Goblin.
